i knew most of the story of hades but hearing all played out in a chronological order not separated by all the other parts of the story or gameplay, it really enhanced all of what he said and did in shadowbringers. I always knew how much of a burden it was, but i wasnt able to fully grasp it all until now. Great video <3

Could you share how you set your hotbar up? Ive been looking them up to see a starter hotbar to figure placements for everything but a majority of them use different formats than the 12x1 and it makes it super confusing to transfer that

It's mostly just personal preference, but for me always try to group abilities while also keeping my bar somewhat uniform so when I switch to another healer things are basically in the same spot. For example, c, v, b, and shift+c are all my aetherflow heals on scholar, My addersgall heals on sage, my lily heals on white mage, and my cards on astro. Similarly, I my attacks are always q, e, r, t, f on healers. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 are always my gcd heals and shift + 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, are always my short cooldown ogcd.

J, k, l, etc going from left to right are hotbar 2 for me. U, I, o, p etc also hotbar 2. I hate using hotbar 1 as pressing switch hotbar hides it and becomes a shyt show in midst of battle 1 thru 0 then - and = is hotbar 3 F1 thru F12 hotbar 4. Should cover majority of classes. You can make alt + one of those above and shift + above or even ctrl +above but I find it completely unnecessary after 3 hotbars. As for pets hotbar it's the insert, home, delete etc 6 buttons plus some on the numpad. Although it's not enough to cover pets but it's not for "pet" but for duty where you control a side quest npc so you don't need alot of buttons. As for heals and such it's up to you. You got to organize it and find your own as your style. I find that grouping group regen with other group heals and shields. Then the resource ogcd skills stay together. I use j, k, l etc for nukes, mana drain (scholar), art of war, dots etc. For u, I, o, p etc is for gcd heals and shields and some resource ogcds. For resource heals like ex-cog etc I use 5, 6, 7, 8 etc. For 1, 2, 3, 4 I use buffs and angel spells F1 to F12 for sure cast, resurrection, teleport, rescue, group 2 min dmg buff, dissipation, recitation, summon mount, etc.

Not really. Blue mage receives significantly more exp from normal enemies compared to other jobs as it's the main way they're meant to level. Technically you could do this with a non-blue mages but it wouldn't be no where near as effective.

I’m obsessed with this character. I am the one who speaks to every npc not just the one pushing the quest forward , and Emet-Selch had some gold lines. When they brought us the Elpis line, and we met the original Hades, there was no way back. I’ve been playing FF’s for almost 35 years and he has become my favorite character in the franchise.

I hate that we live in a time where you have to watch a video to get the information you need. I wish he'd gone into detail on where to find the maps through gathering, because even though I unlocked it in ARR some 3 years ago when I started playing, I still don't get the gathering system for them. I can't even find br'aaxskin maps in DT with max level gatherers, and I'm not finding any reliable information on what nodes to go to. Just going to level 100 nodes isn't working out.

They only have a chance to be found at max level nodes(50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100). That being said you can force them to appear by using the luck of the X(mountaineer/pioneer) skill.

I know I might hit a nerve here, but I gotta say it: Solo PotD is impossible just by trying. Period. I went almost MAD at how everyone said how easy it is and I could not get the 3rd boss down even remotely. So how to do it?! The only way to do it is with double-figure hours of preparation, mind-numbing resets to get silver chests and hope of a chance of Sustaining Potions. Silver chests for the Aether Pool --- after 1 hour, I often had like 4 and 3 of them exploded and one did jack.... Literally a whole run without any gains! And you need sustaining potions you gain by hours upon hours of Bronze Chest farming (and 95% it's the Phoenix thing that you can't use solo). Or by doing it with friends (have none playing this game) and the "matched party" features literally (!) finds absolutely no other player as nobody wants to do those low floors. Wasted 90+ minutes several times and found exactly 0 other player... And then I watch videos like this all over the place that sport Aetherpool +99/99 and 250+ of these goddamn potions, also almost 20% more HP than me (RDM at Level 51) and say it's "so EZ man, just kite it". That thing can't be "kited" as the AA range of it is so far you can't outrun it and it takes 600HP. So 6 hits and I am done. IMPOSSIBLE with a 40-second potion CD. ... I was about to get crazy!!! So here is the deal: As a recent PotD attempter - solo of course because nobody does it, or at least not floor 1-50 - I can only stress one thing: SUSTAINING POTIONS. That is ALL you really need! Everything else is marginal. But here is the dealbreaker: You get those potions at Floor 50 - which you never reach. And as said, nobody does PotD (and nobody I know plays the game) on a matched party below 50, you are hard-locked. However, I managed to get 2 of those shard things after like 12 hours of mindless grinding, grabbed 40 potions and it suddenly all worked... Went to Floor 30 - and popped one of these. THEY REGEN 1.1k IN EVERY 5 SECONDS! I was literally full health all the fight. Took me 4 potions and I won the fight with ease in 2 minutes... So NOW I am able to get to 50, to get Chests and more Potions. PotD solo is like trying to start a car without fuel. Until you miracously manage to distil your own one in your garage, and from there one, it just is an easy-goer... I think most of these guides are irrelevant if they don't focus on these potions. I mean, nobody needs to be explained what a landmine does and stuff.

As someone who just thinks about getting into FF14 and likes to learn as much as possible about the mechanics *prior* to loading into the game, shit sounds very confusing so far, not going to lie. I can only hope that it gets better when you start actively practicing and the understanding of skills/rotations becomes more of a "muscle" memory rather than having to constantly keep all this information in mind. But the guide is certainly helpful, having skills explained, giving tips for improvement and even bringing up some basic skill rotations that would sligtly change and expand as a player slowly progresses through the levels as Scholar, so it deserved a like from me. I'll rewatch the video a few more times ones I start actually playing, that's for sure.

It does get better. The pace you get new abilities as you level makes it so you have plenty of time to get used to each new ability before you get a new one. The exception to this is newly released classes like reaper that just throw pretty much every ability at you at the same time since it starts at a high level

I'd like to thank Nasty Namazu for carrying my BLU journey. Your short but very detailed and wonderfully photo/image/graphic-assisted guides have helped me get from Lv1-80 solo from your early level solo leveling guide to the more recent Lv80 solo leveling guide. Besting Azulmagia, Siegfried, Gogo the Mimic, and hopefully soon--Goldor. Saw your Lv80 solo dungeons and solo treasure dungeons videos recently and am very excited to give those a try soon. As a solo player who likes to play in his own time, genuinely thank you for all your hard work! In the otherwise very linear battle experience that FFXIV offers for casual folks who want a challenge, a solo BLU journey has really given me that feeling. A kind of classic MMO experience grinding mobs, soloing bosses with differering loadouts and being able to appreciate the entire game's world space as you hop from one map to the other. BLU has been a lot of fun. Hopefully Beastmaster can give a similar feeling. Hope to see more guides soon!

Hey something cool i found out by accident, Abyssal Transfixion and Northerlies can be obtained before stepping foot in ishgard. The second boss of Haukke Manor Hard can drop Abyssal and the Yeti boss in snowcloak can give northerlies.

Thank you! This is the guide that helped me finally beat this one! I omitted moon flute as I accidentally kept using it at the wrong times, then would get the "Waning Nocturne" debuff. I also didn't have Nightbloom, so my DPS took much longer, so had to repeat mechanics a few times, which was fine once I knew the order of things. I did use "final sting" in my penultimate run at 11%, but that didn't quite take him out. So my final run I didn't bother with it. Just how it worked for me. So, so, so excited to never do that one again.

really wholesome video, my boyfriend dealt with alot of those anxieties which stopped him from playing pvp and savage raids even after playing the game for many years and knowing almost everything in the game to a high level. Thankfully he overcame those fears and now plays ranked and savage frequently.

No, its still there, but Na servers are constantly being populated so its not as common for them to be preferred. That being said most the Dynamis servers still have the bonus.

As someone who was told to focus on the MSQ, and a stereotype of not reading, my advice is to please please PLEASE take your time, don’t let yourself get dragged along by friends or others, and give yourself time to understand what you learned. I’m having to redo those steps bc I didn’t read and was tunnel visioned, and didn’t learn stuff. Good news is that I get to learn stuff though :)

The log is unlocked when you unlock any crafter/gatherer, and like other jobs you unlock them by going to the blue quest in there corresponding guild in the three major cities.

Yes, its a blind run where most everyone is going in blind meaning we're showing our first reactions to the new content. Plus, since it's normal content we allow some trolling for extra comedy and difficulty. This differs from blind prog which would be us doing harder content, and would be taken much more serious. Such as when we do the new chaotic raid when it releases. Lastly, its an fc event. I stream most of them to serve as an archive.

Just because it isn't extreme prog, doesn't mean that it still isn't going to be a challenge. You can only enjoy the blind ARaid for so long before everyone knows how to do it and it's just automatic like most of them. No necessarily remember you can just buy the off the market board, and they're generally not that expensive(as long as you don't buy them on peak days like weekends). If your talk about from unreal than yes as they can all still be bought either with the unreal currency or off the marketboard, and unreal will be returning to the game in a couple of days. If your talking about just collecting all the mounts and minions in general then kinda. The vast majority of them are still available. There are only a very select few that are no longer obtainable; however, said mounts have be known to return to the game in the form like mogtome rewards, and to my knowledge there are very few if any unavailable minions. As for mounts locked behind certain older content like Ozma, Cerberus, and/or the malboro there are dedicated discords to helping people get these.

@@TheNastyNamazu I mean, if it is possible to catch up on getting the mounts and minions just from doing Unreal Trials. It would require about 6600 currency to buy the acutal available mounts and minions. That would take several years to get that much currency I guess. And in that years farming for the old rewards there will proably be added new rewards worth several thousands of currency again. So is it realistically possible to get everything if you start doing Faux Hollows just now or will you always be behind and there's no chance anymore to get everything without buying off the market board?

@@aceace632 New rewards are only introduced every time a new unreal is released which is every patch. The new rewards usually consist of a mount and minion which with okay luck you can usually get in 2 to 3 month using the solver and going for foxes. Given that a patch cycle it roughly 4 months this gives you an extra month to build extra leaves which makes it easier to get the next set of rewards thus giving your more time to get the older rewards. Then at the end of any expansion there is always a longer period of downtime 6+ months which makes it even easier to catch up on the old rewards. Also this doesn't even consider the fact that if you very lucky you can get the same rewards from your wondrous tales with three lines. Weekly no fox = 80 to 90 leaves Weekly with 1 fox = 180(*165) to 190(*175) leaves * if you ignore second swords for more fox searches New patch rewards are normally 1000. Meaning it takes roughly 11 to 12 weeks to get the new rewards assuming no foxes; however, any foxes you do get will reduce the number of weeks by one, and while rare if you use the solver you can usually get at least a few during any unreal period. tl;dr Assuming you go for foxes you'll generally get leaves faster than they release new rewards meaning you'll likely catch up eventually even if you don't buy them from the market.

I believe so. I know for summoner you actually change you opener depending on the buffs your party has. If you have a lot you go garuda and swift slip. If you don't you go into titan.

you can level DPs with the squadrons to 60 or 65 with the DMG buff they get, you can run the vault in 15 minutes which allowing for que times is quicker than running with people
