The new one is more deluxe. It’s more like home on a vehicle than the previous one.

This camper feels a little bit more like what I think of whenever I think of a Luxury RV. The previous one seemed quaint, something you’d get when you first started exploring but still not sure you’d stick with it 😂. Either way, good review mate! Cheers 🥂

I've heard a similar rumour about the Miles Morales Deli set, who knows, it would be cool if they did eventually build a skyscraper with several floors. But its a total joke at £44, LEGO are having a laugh. Its essentially the facade of a ground floor and a car, shocking to charge so much for a set. I'll definitely be buying it but i'll wait for the inevitable price drop in a few weeks as really want the figures. Nice update, city looking good

Yeah, it’s a shame about the parts being delayed. I have multiple projects on hold until those parts arrive. I’m also contemplating removing my train but I don’t think I want to do it 😅. Great video, happy 2025!

The night sky appears to be a printed window pane element, or it could be a sticker that goes on a black or dark blue window pane. You can see a sliver of light underneath the pane, so definitely not a separate element behind.

Very unique features in your city, sir. Mixed buildings of different themes you don't see very often. These would be City, Monkie Kid, Lunar New Year and Friends. I might have missed a theme? Yeah, modulars perhaps.

I like the monorail extension over the Chinatown section. I'm curious about the idea of placing support on flat building roofs! Keep up the great work! 😊

Ok, so I noticed that here in the States, I do not see a some of the same sales you do, which is rather disappointing. As for that upcoming modular, Lego can take my money 😅

I would agree Lego have become particularly manipulative with certain GWP's in the last few years. In the case of the Endurance, I'm a huge fan of maritime history and was looking forward to this set for a long time. But no GWP means the set is incomplete, and thus I will not purchase. There are other reasons, like it costs $400 AUD, the hull has studs showing and isn't a smooth, flush build like Titanic. But the primary reason is that hero of Shackleton's survival, is Shackleton and the James Caird lifeboat; the Endurance itself is literally only half the story. Lego were trying to pressure me into a midnight day one purchase, because in Australia GWP's always sell out within 10 minutes, our allocation of GWP's seem very low, and Shakletons lifeboat is already listed at $200+ AUD on the secondary market. And I'm not the type of consumer who responds well to the feeling of being manipulated. It made me double down on not purchasing The Endurance, and as a result, not spending money on Lego. So yes, I think GWP's have become a problem. But I chose not to play that game. Lego won't learn anything or change because people keep throwing money at them, just look at some of the comments on this video for example. For me, I only buy Lego now on double insiders points if buying from Lego, but usually I just wait for a sale somewhere else, where the prices are more reasonable.

I recolored a police car into a blacked out sports car. As well as a couple Star Wars ships to make a small squadron. Great video 😊

The white roof on blue body is a very classic land rover look - honestly I think that version looked better than the official.

I’m buying the Endurance day one to get the GWP because, as far as I’m concerned, Shackleton’s lifeboat is a very important and integral part of the story and history of the ship. If it wasn’t included I’d have waited… So yes, the GWPs are a problem in my mind.

Does everyone get this discount because I've just created a lego account and the discount has been applied to some sets. Do you need to buy some sort of membership for this discount to be applied at checkout?

My last gwp was very cringe worthy. I'm planning on parting it out or donating it to a charity. They may also want to part it out. As someone who can't often afford to buy a nicer Lego set, it's a bit disappointing to get free rubbish with it.

I agree with most sentiment I've read regarding the GWP, the re-release of the Mimic Dice Box GWP was the main reason I pulled the trigger and bought the D&D set. The Lego doesn't feel the same if it is something that completes the set, such as the mine cart/vault from Harry Potter. The vehicles aren't necessary but are a cool add (got the taxi when I bought the police station). Most of the time I end up buying the GWP on eBay if I really wanted it since I wasn't able to pick it up at release. I like them in theory, just hate the number they do on my wallet 😅

GWP is a marketing gi if for the most part. Exploiting people’s FOMO. Most are easily recreated: For example the recent UCS sail barge GWP, Luke’s ROTJ lightsaber. There is only one piece in the entire set that is exclusive, the printed plaque with “Luke’s lightsaber” on it. Everything else is easily purchased. I reverse engineered the lightsaber GWP based on the promo photos released a month before and built it using £15 worth of parts ordered from bricklink! When the set and the GWP finally came out, the GWP set was going for over £100 on eBay! Insane! I get why LEGO do it and I get why people love the GWPs. But for me they aren’t an incentive to buy a set. That said I have bought sets during the initial release just to get an exclusive GWP in order to immediately sell on the GWP and bring the cost of the set down. It’s a a Star Wars example again but I got the UCS ATAT first day of release with all the GWPs. I used some points to buy the set too which brought the cost down as well as selling on the GWPs. So much so that I was able to buy enough Snowtroopers to fill her up and still have saved money on the RRP of the set! So 🤷🤣

Not going to lie, the fact that it's a GWP is putting me off the set. I'm a retired sailor who's actually been to Antarctica so this set is literally perfect for me. But I'm a father of three so I can't really get anything for myself this time of year, especially not a bigger ticket item like the Endurance. So at this point, it looks like I'd have to get the life boat set later on the secondary market before even considering the ship itself. And that rubs me the wrong way.

You have to give Lego credit: they are brilliant at separating people from their money, using FOMO, manipulating social media, and steadily inching prices higher and higher to normalize painful prices. Not coincidentally, i spend more time and money on the competing brands now.

I agreed with you. Got substantial FOMO most of the time. Particularly when the GWP synergies well with a set I’d like to pick up. Like the endurance. Picking it up at a later date for inflated price is like the smoking gun for 1st day purchase. As it’s a Lego exclusive I ain’t counting on a discount…

Gwp doesn’t come often so buyers can sell them on as to help you with your purchase why don’t Lego knock the gift price off the item you are buying 😊

I do not tend to buy any Lego from Lego as they charge the most, so all these GWP have no say in what I buy...usually, but this time I want that lifeboat AND the Endurance, so I will pay full price. So the GWP has worked and Lego gets my cash...this time, but this is the only time it has ever worked. The Lifeboat and Endurance are a set, and it is Christmas and I wanna prezzie!..In fact I want TWO prezzies...3 if you count the Eldorado Fort set that I will buy before it retires so I have a nice port to park my Endurance next to. Dont yer just love Christmas? Its like the perfect excuse to spend your money on yourself just for a change, and you have plenty of free time to build all those prezzies you bought yourself. Now if only all the family would leave me alone and stop getting in the way it would be perfect.

Are you saying one needs to buy the Endurance and then buying something to get the GWP lifeboat or risk not getting either because their sales are not synch?

Gwp's should go on sale 1 month after the gwp period. That way you can just purchase the gwp set. If just the life boat were availble to buy, that's all i would buy, now i have to decide.

Yep Day one buy for the Endurance for sure. I probably would have waited for a sale for this if the GWP wasn't so good. Legos marketing sure know how to drain money from your account. I find even though GWP's are more expensive on the secondary market the price can be evened out when the primary set is purchased on a good discount. Not all the time but doesn't feel so bad when you miss out on day one. GWP's are just there to make us feel worse for giving Lego all our money.
