I would have kept the rostyle wheels on that it came with the model just doesn't look right with the wheels you have put on it I honestly don't like the model as it is needs putting back to how it was with the original wheels

I have a real mk3 2000GT same colour as the model my car has been totally restored from the ground up inside and outside it was my dad's car from new and I kept it now it is only used at ford car shows .

I just watched this one again, 3 years later - - I wanted to make sure I remembered right, & I did. The original Dinky SPV which I used to own in 1971 was considerably larger scale than the new Corgi I just bought. The Corgi is alright. But the bigger size of the old Dinky is a massive plus over the new Corgi, it really makes a difference for a vehicle that is, let's face it, a streamlined tank.

I picked Joe's Car up on eBay cheaply, mostly they are expensive. It's only missing the red lens cover and the fins that pull out. I can get the lens but I'll have to see about the fins.

I have an SPV in mint condition and it’s one of my prized collectables. 😊

Love the fact you give full details like drill sizes for drilling out, as most renovaters are focused on "look what I did", and you inspire and help with informative videos. I often think back to "HOW" on tv, and jack hargreaves presenting how to's, and think how you could do this for todays kids. In his days he had a pipe, on kids tv!!

Always a pleasure to watch you work your magic on these fascinating toys that have captivated my imagination since receiving my first Corgi 261 back in 65/66 timeframe. What a toy for a 9-year-old kid who grew up around sports cars and motor sports. I got one of these in metallic orange with a yellow base, I have never seen one in this colour before, they were always red, it's a factory finish with the Spectrum decals, so any idea why it is orange and not red?.

Getting the hang of these now.Usually have to sand the top of the ejector seat a bit so that the roof sits flush.Bugs the hell out of me otherwise.

Great demo Bob enjoyed watching you restore a car from my favourite tv programmes. The Martin i was talking about was Mr Dare. My left hand does not work. If or when it does I am thinking of taking up restoration

I believe that Standard-Triumph International worked with Corgi to get all the details on these models perfect.

You can get spray cans of the exact Powder Blue from the Triumph Sports Six Club, as well as the other Triumph colours.
