Very good restoration Bob. Nice colour change. It was a good and cheap idea to repair front screen with that hard plastic. It came on fine in the end. Isn't It possible to heat that plastic a bit? Anyway The Healey looks 100% 💯👍Hope you have still a few sunny days left for the good life.

Hallo Bob, the car is a beauty in red and goes well with the cream-colored seats. You definitely have an eye for color and a deft hand with the application! The car was in pretty bad shape prior to rescuing, and as always, hubby and I enjoyed seeing you transform this like it was brand new. Nice, cute barbecue you have - hope you have lots of good cooking and eating from it! You and Mrs. Bob stay safe and well and happy. :)

Thanks, I wasn’t happy with the BBQ at first so I painted the it with some left over Red fence paint to cover up my crappy pointing skills 😂

@@BobWilliscorgi Aw lol. Well, once again, you picked the right color. I always think one can never go wrong with a spot of red in the garden just to liven things up! :P

What a great restoration Bob, it looks fantastic in red with cream coloured seats. When you masked the seats did you stick the masking tape on first and then cut the tape around the seats with a Stanley knife blade? Great way of making the windscreen too. All the best. Peter.

17:05 Use 'Clove' Oil on that tooth Bob. Nasty stuff but it will take care of that tooth. You'll need to apply it 3 times for it to become permanent.

Hi Bob - lovely resto on this 'simple' looking one to do. Its alway great to see on your channel the way you give same attention to the easy ones and the super hardcore difficult diecasts like the 'Chitty Chitties' and 'Joe 90s Car' of the Resto World! Your fussy with detail and thats what makes the difference in the end, quality control, and thats what separates the men from the boys:)) Could I ask please the Hycote Red - what one is that its just brilliant - is it a certain type of red as would like to get the same. All the very best to you and yours Sir!

@@BobWilliscorgi Cheers mate! Much appreciated - your always great with these colour selections and like loads of folk have said on your vids more often than not an improve on the original - who can forget that bloody horrible metallic sprout green Dinky used on the UFO Interceptor and Space 1999 Transporter - they didn't always get it right haha! Best to you and thanks again Sir :)

Hi Bob, love the videos keep up the good work. Please let me know why it is important to polish the metal before painting, wouldn’t the paint key better if it’s not shiny. Regards paul
@BobWilliscorgi3 жыл бұрын
I don’t polish anything, all I do is wire wheel or brush it! I admit it looks like it’s polished once you have gone over it with the brush but it’s not in my case. Some modellers do go to the trouble of polishing but I can’t see any point in it 🤔

Nice job Bob, but the 'casting' lines you buffed off the top of the wings, on the real car it's actually a joint between the inner and outer wing and is supposed to be there, but never mind it looks fine.
