Recently picked one up. Updated to 1.08. Knew instantly that this was a sound module only and I'd only be hurting myself even attempting to use it's sequencer. Love MFB gear. Have 4 other synths of his gear, but god damned did Manfred have a very opinionated method of how things should work.

How do you sequenced the bass and this vocal glitches? The drums are only from the erica synths drum sequencer? And what are the sound sources?

Bass is coming from both the MPC and if I remember correctly through the domino module in the rack. Sending midi from MPC to Yarns that converts it to CV. Vocal chops are in the rack and the MPC. The bitbox has pretty good slicing functionality and it’s pretty easy to slice up and get good results. Drums are all in the rack. There’s a bazillion sound sources. Not sure where to start there 😂

Glad to hear you back bro! Weve chatted a while ago because I wanted a tanzbar 2 so badly. Still do; but I just hate that I then have to sequence it via another machine basically due to the firmware issues. I still am a happy owner and will never part with my Tanzmaus, which in a way is rightfully the Tanzbar 1 in sense of sample utilizing terms 😊 On you page I uploaded a video of it actually, youd like it!

The machine is called “Tanzbär”, dancing bear. “Tanzbar” would be something like a dance bar, and “tanzbar” as an adjective would be “danceable”. When you have no access to german umlauts on your keyboard, correct transliteration is adding an “e”: ä => ae, ö => oe, ü => ue. So, “Tanzbaer” would be a valid spelling.

The Tanzmaus has a pretty wide range and so does the Alpha Base within their analog voices. If you go digital (ie TR8S) then the sky’s the limit!

Mine's been stuck in bootloader for a month, until today when I loaded the 07 firmware and used MFB Flasher instead of Bome sx. So glad to have it running again, it's a unique machine.

Thanks! To your question- unstable. I have to use an older Microsoft tablet as the tool to load samples hasn’t worked with Mac OS for some time.

@@LouisSerieusement the tb2 definitely has the MFB workflow. It’s similar to the Tanzmaus with some of the same ideas and workflow there. My TB2 step lights started lighting up randomly making the onboard sequencer difficult to use because the lights provide the needed visual feedback :( I switched to using an external sequencer.

sold my tb2 about two years ago, glad to see you still rockin' with it. it does indeed still sound dope but imho it's almost not worth it anymore in times of polyend play and such... i might get a tb1 in the future sometime just because of these kickz
