Where are you located? Are these for cooking or for heating? I’m thinking because you mentioned flavours of wood, they are more for cooking? Just curious! Thanks

Hi! Thank you for the comment! Well, maybe I wasn't realy clear. About 'wood flavours' I mean different type of woods. About normal 'flavours' I mean that some people use some plants/substances to aromatize it, like citrus fruits (oranges, lemons..) or rosemary. This is may add some taste in your grill!

I used to own a small pet grocery line, mostly for pet rabbits, guinea pig. I added wood pellets as bedding material offer, and visited the factory in Durban south Africa. Very similar operation and i was fascinated. I always wanted to buy my own pelletizer to mill my own Teff, Lucerne and Arogrostis feeds, however i had to sell the business before i could further expand. Nevertheless, a pellet machine is an amazing piece of equipment!

Per aumentare la compressione basta allentare i rulli dalla trafila,la prima compressione avviene lì ,già testato dalla mia esperienza,unico problema che aumento il consumo elettrico,tanto è uguale sè monti la trafila più spessa .
@profilo_is_back
@profilo_is_back 6 ай бұрын

USA here. WOW!!!! GREAT JOB! Keep up the GREAT WORK ON THE VIDEOS! This is very informative! I've been looking for something like this for my shop. How large of a storage area are you using for the wood chips? Based on that size how often do you need to fill it? I understand there will be a different consumption rate depending on the weather and temperature, but on average how much raw material does it using .... in a 24 hr cycle? You have me hooked on your videos. I have watched a few so far and look forward to watching the rest of them. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

hi! Thank you very much for the comment, really glad that you like my videos! Well, you're right, it really depends on too much factors. In these days, here in Italy its quite hot, talking about 5°C/10°C. My house is not thermally isolated and we are using about 1.5/2 big bags every week. 1big bag of wood chip (not good quality material) is about 400/600kg. Let's assume 1000kg/week, it's almost 150kg/day. These,as you may imagine, are very rough calculation but can give you an idea. Our storage area (there is a video on the channel) is about 2.5m x 2.5m x 2m. We fill it once a week in this period. Hope this was helpful for you. Let me know if its ok, and let me know if you want to see something specific about the plant, I can make some videos! Best regards, Filippo

Hi! thank you for the comment, glad that you liked the video! yeah, exactly. We have also a screw log splitter for the excavator to reduce log size. however, we don't have log much larger than those you see in the videos. So yes, some of them may be a bit too large, but in general, we can do our work with these tools.

How long do those bearings last?
@profilo_is_back
@profilo_is_back 8 ай бұрын
It really depends on the quality of the bearnig, on the mechanical mounting and on how much grease you use. Moreover it also depends on the hardness of the wood you are pelletizing. IN general, few tons of material. Then we dismount them and we turn them on the other side, so that we can almost double the bearing duration.
