I own LDBS, Rolling in love, and just recently bought a 15ml of LDBS extreme and I’m super stoked to get it! I don’t compare rolling in love to LDBS at all. Totally different experience and smell haha. My LDBS has macerated and it is sooo potent! Kilian was right about the macerating for sure!

Highly recommend to not decant parfums. They change so much when taken out of the original package and are ruined.

Clandestine Clara is an amazing perfume, smells heavenly, but you are the only one that smells it and no one around and the longevity is indeed mediocre, such a waste for a fragrance like this !

it's time to end gendered fragrances. smells are like colours, if you know what I mean. I love vetiver, it's super calming to me, guerlain vetiver, terre d'hermes (edt, eau givreé, vetiver intense), encre noire. love spicebomb extreme too, this is him! from zadig&voltaire, prada l'homme, valentino uomo intense, dior homme intense, gentleman reserve priveé and boisé (can't get enough iris), ombre noire (lalique), toy boy, declaration d'un soir (cartier), habit rouge (guerlain), monsieur (goutal), ambre fetiche (goutal), eau des baux (l'occitane), dior homme cologne, oud&spice (acqua di parma), so many!! the closest I can get to a signature fragrance is declaration edt from cartier, just love, love, love it during warm/hot weather. I didn't know jazz club was male targeted, been using it for a couple of years now. we need a part 2. so many great fragrances are overlooked by one gender or the other due to this gendered marketing

Amazing! Your art and materials collection is identical to mine plus I have Rose Barbare. Gourmand coquin is repackaged as Feve Gourmand. I also plan to get Tobacco honey some day. I am not too concerned about longevity. They all last at least 4-5 hours and easy to reapply during lunch at work. I have the 100ml bottles so I can travel with them (no way am I checking them in). They’re also easy to drop into the lap top bag when at work and refresh.

Chloé Narcisse immediately became my deeply, deeply, deeply beloved signature fragrance shortly after it was introduced in 1992. It’s absolutely unique, and a look at its Perfume Pyramid composition and a search for its combined component notes on Fragrantica quickly confirms this. It’s quite simply the most gorgeous perfume I’ve ever experienced. Prior to falling completely bum over teakettle for Chloé Narcisse, my favorites included classic formulations of 80s & early 90s florientals - CK Obsession for Women, YSL Opium, Bijan Bijan for Women, the original CoverGirl Navy for Women, as well as the more strictly floral early incarnations of Chloé. While I enjoyed all of these, I was completely unprepared for my reaction when I tried Chloé Narcisse on for the first time. I was stunned. It bloomed fully on my skin and with my body’s chemistry, and the bouquet was as if every fragrance note and accord I most enjoyed in all of my previous favorites had been isolated and combined into the perfect gestalt of them all. Chloé Narcisse was a soothing, sweet, warm, enchanting, sexy, confident, gorgeous lush garden of deeply sensual femininity that I never wanted to leave. Absolute Perfection. I was heartbroken when Chloé Narcisse was discontinued (c2009? - I can’t seem to find the exact date) and I eventually ran out. But I was at least able to find two very good type reproduction fragrance oils online that I routinely purchased throughout the 2010s until these became unavailable as well. One of the businesses simply closed, and the other continues to sell a reproduction that is no longer anything at all like the original and isn’t even worth mentioning. What followed was a few years of mild baseline depression over the nagging presence of an absence in my life. Samples of other fragrances only served as painful reminders of what had been lost. Eventually I couldn’t take it any longer and went looking to see if there were any new fragrance sellers who might be offering a Chloé Narcisse reproduction I hadn’t yet tried. I found a bunch of bad ones, one mediocre one, and then finally, finally, finally…the Best Chloé Narcisse reproduction I’ve ever experienced. The mediocre Chloé Narcisse reproduction I recently found was from OilPerfumery ( us.oilperfumery.com/ ). I’d grade it a “C-“. It’s somewhat reminiscent of Chloé Narcisse and isn’t objectionable, but it’s definitely only a very pale echo of the original with an odd waxy finish, and the projection, sillage, and longevity are all very poor. And their shipping was also unbelievably slow. The best Chloé Narcisse reproduction I’ve ever found is from Misterscent ( misterscent.co.uk/ ), and is nothing short of AMAZING. “A+”. I’ve worn it every day since I first tried it on in September 2023. The accuracy of the fragrance notes and accords and dry down are perfect. The longevity is an excellent 7 hours for me, and is on par with the original. The projection and sillage are somewhat reduced compared to the original, but this might have to do with wearing a concentrated oil rather than a spray EDT/P. I don’t know, but I actually prefer the reduction in projection and sillage, since I’d always rather wear a cocoon of fragrance rather than an overbearing cloud and risk forcing my tastes on anyone who might either be fragrance sensitive or not share my tastes. The Owner/Operator of Misterscent, Tom Withington, has a great depth of experience in fragrance creation and uses gas chromatography to evaluate the similarity of the essential oils and proportions to the originals. So it’s not surprising that the notes and dry down in his Chloé Narcisse reproduction are a virtual dead ringer for Karl Lagerfeld’s masterpiece. Gotta love it when Art and Science work together, and Tom has the skill to use both brilliantly. Tom offers exceptional customer care and is an absolute delight to work with. He promptly and cheerfully responds to emails, quickly fills, securely packs, and ships orders, and he’s also incredibly kind. When I first reached out to him to confirm that he’d be able to ship to the U.S. (he does!), he told me that he was planning to discontinue offering his Chloé Narcisse reproduction after his dwindling inventory at the time was exhausted due to slow sales. I shared my long standing passionate love affair and heartbreak over having lost Chloé Narcisse with him, and offered to help spread the word about his reproduction and business if it met my high expectations, and if he’d agree to consider continuing to offer it. After all, there seemed to be no point in placing a test order, potentially loving it, and then having to face losing it all over again if I wouldn’t be able to get any more. He understood completely and agreed without hesitation to blend a new batch if I liked my first small order and wanted more. I adored it and ordered three 50 ml bottles of concentrated perfume oil (nearly a three year supply of daily wear for me), and he immediately blended a new batch and continues to keep his magnificent Chloé Narcisse reproduction on offer at my request. Simply because he was able to do it and wanted to make me happy. How Awesome is that?! Tom Withington also creates a multitude of other contemporary and classic reproduction perfume oils. They’re all exceptionally reasonably priced, and while I can only speak to the quality and fidelity of his Chloé Narcisse reproduction, I’d be very surprised if his other perfume oils weren’t also highly accurate and of excellent quality. Tom is someone who I feel thoroughly great about supporting, and I’m confident that you’ll really enjoy doing business with him as well. Since it had actually been a few sad deprived years since I’d worn Chloé Narcisse in any form, suddenly being reunited with my Lost Love released an unexpected massive flood of memories, including all the music I listened to most in the years after Chloé Narcisse first came into my life. Such is the profound power of fragrance to deeply evoke everything it was once connected to. It inspired me to put together a playlist, which might give you a smile if you happen to have shared any similar experiences of that time with me: Vesper Praespero | Apple Music Chloé Narcisse - Soundtrack to a Love Affair music.apple.com/us/playlist/chlo%C3%A9-narcisse-soundtrack-to-a-love-affair/pl.u-oZylD1esRJEz93 Vesper Praespero | Spotify Chloé Narcisse - Soundtrack to a Love Affair open.spotify.com/playlist/0gsPNqQ8W389og74UKPT2V
