I watched this several years ago and it was excellent. Sadly it’s one of those ‘Free Trial’ offers on BritBox. Good luck finding a simple way to cancel before you get billed. Who wants to fart around trying to unravel that Byzantine process. 🙄

I love Craford and the 2nd one too. One of my favorites that Im so pleased has not been taken off of the streaming channels. I even had it burned to a dvd just in case! Highly recommend!

Can't watch something that's not currently on TV. I watched the series on TV years ago and had a DVD which I also watched. My favourite part was the cat swallowing valuable lace and being given something to give it diarrhoea. The women put the cat in a tall boot and waited for the lace to come out when the cat opened its bowels. The lace came out in a certain state but I don't remember whether it was possible to restore it to its former beauty.

Got the whole series plus the Return to Cranford on DVD. It’s one of our go to when the U.K. tv only churns out back to back boring game and reality shows every weekend.

Not watching.....???.... I own it! I recognized it from the thumbnail. I watch regularly!!! I love it! I quote it "It is all go in Cranford" And the book gives you even more to love!!! [i realize I probably fell for clickbait....but I couldn't help it!] In fact, I'm gonna pop it in now to keep my company as I clean!

Haven't seen Middlemarch yet. Rufus Sewell is a great actor. I first saw him in Charles II: The Power and the Passion and thought this man can act.

For some reason Susan was the ONLY character not to have a happy ending. Everyone else became successful at their own career.

Why has no-one seen this? What planet are you on?? It was massive when broadcast in 2007. There was a Christmas follow up in 2009 ' Return to Cranford'. Eileen Atkins as Miss Deborah - outstanding. ❤❤
