Is there anything you would do differently now that you’ve had a few days to think about it? And, were your feet really wet? Is there a better sock for wet conditions?
@pedalandypedal6 күн бұрын
I would def not use the same programming I did leading into it. For whatever reason the Garmin adaptive training was super conservative. The system has a lot of work to do. I should have been averaging 30-50mile weeks and I was only getting 15. I may give a more forgiving pair of shoes a try for the next go around. Although the Metaspeed Sky did me no wrong, there are options out there that fit my flat mini turtle feet better and the latitude to perhaps be less fatigued. They were def wet.😆 Some ppl said use waterproof socks but the issue with that is the inability to breathe. They prob would have made things worse in a running situation. Synthetic socks tend to dry faster. Than cotton or wool. I don’t really see anything doing a whole lot better than the Feetures I was using but I’d love to be proven wrong. ✊🫡

I installed my X0 group. Everything according to the instructions, but despite the smooth transitions and no chain skip on the cassette, I encountered an issue I can't get rid of. On the second gear (from the top), when pedaling backward, after a few rotations, the chain misses the cog (it doesn't engage correctly) and drops onto the cogs below, briefly locking the drivetrain. The derailleur gets confused, so even if the chain returns to its position, everything squeaks, and only after shifting gears again does it return to normal. Any ideas what could be the cause?

Interesting! They look so strange, I wonder how they change the overall fit of the bike. If they made a cockpit with a normal Garmin mount (better looks) with a sizing guide so that your position with hands on shifters doesn't change, this could sell. Although I guess being aero with hands on in the middle of the bars is anti aero given how upright you are, so I'm not sure how useful that is. I guess you make the worst position on the bike in terms of aero less bad?
@pedalandypedal10 ай бұрын
Doesn’t change it much if you account for the drop. In regards to aero, in the truck you’re not much different than on aerobars. Used them yesterday at Midsouth for the 100 mile course and was either on the hood or in aero the whole race, they were great. Coefficient makes a model without the bridge, they’re called the AR.

Well, then you're in LUCK! The RR does NOT change your fit position on the bike. You can even keep your same stem AND same stack height! What you do win though is extra comfort so you feel fresh as a daisy after every ride. A WIN-WIN if you ask me. ;-)
