I am greatly offended by this sketch . It is totally flagrant discrimination against my birth place . Being discriminated all my life for being from east london . Even living in spain still discriminated against but i as i now speak spanish i stay away from stuck up brits . Socialising only with the locals . Viva brexit as now they cannot just move here anymore. Yes i could write a book about some of the stuck up brits. Only good thing inlook foreward to are the next elections on july4th . Uk in for a rude awakening with independent candidates of in their eyes the one true faith. I can a time very soon when brits will be trying to escape in rubber boats to europe. But they will run the risk of being SORTED from the white cliffs and a huge number of boats in the channel operated by the religious leaders of the local mosques .

Fun for an American to see for the first time. In 1988 I sold Encyclopaedia Britannica in Nashville. Wish my recently bankrupted schoolteacher clients living in a mansion knew enough to not buy. I quit after one sale!

These two chaps are just superb! No matter how often I watch them, I love them and their wonderful talents! Lucky for us, these shows were taped! RIP, dear ones, and thank you for all the great times you gave us.

Bristol City can’t be rhyming slang for city, it’s usually rhyming slang for something else. Khyber Pass also can’t be slang for pass, it also means something else.

Channel 4 adopted this idea in 1986 with the Red Triangle. It was very effective in attracting viewers to explicit films they might otherwise have ignored

For people who said he predicted the future- wasn’t this the time of women’s lib? So not very surprising

This is making fun of how ridiculous all this ‘genderless’ pc terminology is-it confuses everything. You can stop being sexist without having to change everything to a ‘gender neutral’ term. As a biological woman who likes to dress more masculine but is happy being referred to as a woman, I have no issues with people calling a female a masculine job title. People seem to think if you don’t it is sexism, but I actually think that the fault is hearing the word ‘man’ or ‘men’ at the end of a traditionally male job role and continuing to assume that all the people involved are going to be male. In a rush-especially an emergency- putting an extra syllable on for ‘woman’ or ‘person’ adds up an slows things down. I think we need to start assuming that either sex could be the ‘firemen’ coming to assist you and not act stupid in needing to be told that the group could be a mixed sex set of people. And given that men were always considered to be ‘better’ at everything, if a woman gets classed with a male job title then surely that shows she’s not being prejudiced against?

None of their content was censored and although they could be very funny there were also a few bits of crude content from time to time which was embarrassing if you were female in mixed company.

I used to get embarrassed at some of the scenes when watching as it was always watched in most family homes.

@TheBTКүн бұрын
Ha, oh that’s great. Thinking comedy at this time didn’t have an agenda. There were literally political sketches and jokes in the two Ronnie’s. And their rise to fame is the “I know my place” sketch with John Cleese. Wasn’t an agenda…
