Having "grown up" with steam gauges, paper charts and having to do all sorts of mental calculations in my head, I am constantly amazed by the advances in Avionics and the ease and efficiency of using them, for example VNAV as in this video. Engine handling likewise is truly 21st century... and yet, that PT6A up front is essentially the same engine that flew way back in 1961. :)

We are headed down to the Sun N Fun with our 14 y/o nephew. We are both very thankful for your video's. I told him last year to start watching your video's to learn how to talk to ATC. That's super cool. I never imagined that someone with a visual impairment might enjoy simming, but then it's probably even more immersive with a greater suspension of disbelief, something those of us with sight have to enter VR to experience.

Most of my adult life I have been pretty much terrified of plane travel. Especially jet planes (for some reason prop planes less so. Dunno why?). Watching your channel over the last several years has pretty much eliminated that fear. Just the soothing way you explain every step and action makes me feel more secure. It's honestly changed my life. Plus, it's just entertaining as hell to watch and listen to you : )
