Heimer's Song has been recorded in 24 different languages, that is INSANE! Each of the versions have small differences in tone but they are all amazing!

Just found out about this video. So glad to see someone doing this to promote good music from China. I've been to one of OYS shows in 2009. The moment I realized that Er Qian, the lead guitar was playing SRV for soundcheck, I knew they had something. Back then they are not that famous yet (it was before they released their first album), and they are known for adding unique improvisation for the same song on different venues. The duo of guitar and bass sometimes reminds me of Lennon and McCartney, one writes deep and powerful lyrics, one writes beautiful melody. They are still evolving and I have good hope that they will keep releasing better and better stuff in the future. Again, so glad to see someone doing reviews on music from China. Please keep doing this!
hope you like chinese music and bring it to more people 🎉🎉

You can sense similarity ... particularly the guitar lick ... well, that might be because the lyricist and composer are the same for both songs.

Stephanie didn't want to sing the first song but was being forced to. Oddly enough it became one of her many big hits! This song is difficult to sing well! I'm convinced that only JJ Lin's performance can rival Stephanie's version.

Interpretation of these songs!! It is recommended to find a Wubai fan or a Taiwanese musician to explain it to you so that you can understand it better.
Thank you so much for making this Joe! I grew up watching Xi You Ji and am sat on the toilet in tears now listening to this. I watched a few other videos of yours last night, you’re not only talented in music but you even put in effort to learn mandarin in order to understand the lyrics better. You’re amazing!
