Could just be me, but it looks like the fenders are on the wrong sides. If you flip them , the front side would be covered with the rear covering 1/2 the tire. JMO

Hi, the offset axle isn't really a big deal. Use the same offset wheels and add a wheel spacer to the one side if it bothers you.

I recently built this DNA trike conversion on my 2019 Sportster 48. Gotta say your video series was invaluable. The only thing I'm having problems with is getting the brakes to work. I ordered the smaller callipers as you suggested but Would like to hear any secrets or tips you have for that.
@flatroc1 Жыл бұрын
Gotta thank you for your DNA video series. I just completed swing arm and axel install and yes, there's no instruction from DNA. Interestingly, I didn't have the differential line up issue, it fit perfectly on my 1200 Sporty. I didn't have to to replace the belt and the adjusting bolts are perfect if you put them in from the rear, so the bolt head is pushing on the axel. My shock bolts where also ok for length. I'm now trying to sort out the brake lines, could be fun. I'm thinking of going with a minimalist flat fender w/back from Amazon. Hope I don't regret that. Well thanks again. Chow 4 now.

I am glad to hear that. Sometimes I regretted selling it but I had 2 and my wife said one had to go. So remind her to occasionally grease the differential. @bobbycarson55743 жыл бұрын
Hi dan,can you tell me how you pulled the pulley hubs in order to switch them over,
@danharrell62003 жыл бұрын
Sure, remove the hex screws that hold the hub together. Separate the hub then Remove the pulley, axle and inner differential gear assembly. Near the narrow end of the hub is a hex screw. Remove it. Then I stood up the hub and used a rubber mallet and hammered the press fit hub off the axle covering. You can also use a dead blow hammer or a large ball peon hammer and a block of wood. Work your way around it to work it off. Once both are removed, switch hubs, line up the hex screw hole on the hub with the axle cover. Hammer it back on and line up the screw and hole. Reassemble. If you are doing this because of the left wheel hub is too far to the left when the pulley and belt are lined up, you can always add a wheel spacer to the right side to equal both sides. Try that first and if you are happy with it, it will save you the work of switching the hub around. Let me know how it works

@@bobbycarson5574 I am so glad to hear this, the only other problem that caused me grief was the brakes. I received a beautiful chrome brake caliper with 4 pistons. @RDAUGIRD2 жыл бұрын
Technically, they are "socket head cap screws" "Allen" is a registered trademark, named after William G. Allen, who held a patent. The name "Allen Wrench" has become a generic term for any hex key. I have never actually owned any "Allen" brand hex keys, but my buddy has a set.
