Dan, my wife owns this trike on your video now and it's still rolling down the road. She loves it!
@danharrell62002 жыл бұрын
I am glad to hear that. Sometimes I regretted selling it but I had 2 and my wife said one had to go. So remind her to occasionally grease the differential. There are 2 grease zerts one on the outside of it and the other accesses through one off the slots on the hub. Anyway I am glad she still loves it. Tell her to ride safe...

@@danharrell6200 I had it painted a deep red last year,added a fork dampner, and put some wider handlebars on it. I have all the parts to put it back to two wheels as well. Thanks for the info on the differential

I just installed a Frankenstein kit on my dyna and it is very stable. One kit is everything you need.

Hey Dan I have the Frankenstein trike kit on my electraglide and I love it it is completely stable ! I have been riding for 5 years no problems just my experience I recommend Frankenstein

I agree, and also may be easier to install, but that comes with more expense.

I recently built this DNA trike conversion on my 2019 Sportster 48. Gotta say your video series was invaluable. The only thing I'm having problems with is getting the brakes to work. I ordered the smaller callipers as you suggested but Would like to hear any secrets or tips you have for that.

Did you have to rake the front end please advise

Hi Dan. I'm doing the same conversion on my 1998 sporty. Looks like I will need to swap sides on the rear diff like you did to center the axels properly. How did you get the center section off the axle tubes? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi dan,can you tell me how you pulled the pulley hubs in order to switch them over,

Can you tell me how it really handles now! I am thinking of doing this. Thank you Tony

You know at first I didn't like the front wheel shake that i noticed under 15mph. Not dangerous but concerning. I aired down the rear tires to 15psi and it rode smoother and the shake was gone. Handles great. I am about to convert a triumph America and will post the videos of the convention. I am sold on the DNA trike kite. Order from Rebecca and let her know i referred her. Her information is at the end of the video. Good luck

Hey Dan what problems did you have with your brakes I put one of them conversion kits on and I can’t get the bike to stop even with the two cylinder pistons Or do you have stopping problems that the breakdown grab that well
@danharrell62002 жыл бұрын
The only problem I had was the 4 piston brakes. Once I changed to the 2 piston, I did have a problem bleeding them but worked it out

Looks better with out the fender tail lights on outboard fenders

You went with this kit because it was half the price of the Frankenstein. It's a get what you pay for world.

Hi dan,can you tell me how you pulled the pulley hubs in order to switch them over,
@danharrell62003 жыл бұрын
Sure, remove the hex screws that hold the hub together. Separate the hub then Remove the pulley, axle and inner differential gear assembly. Near the narrow end of the hub is a hex screw. Remove it. Then I stood up the hub and used a rubber mallet and hammered the press fit hub off the axle covering. You can also use a dead blow hammer or a large ball peon hammer and a block of wood. Work your way around it to work it off. Once both are removed, switch hubs, line up the hex screw hole on the hub with the axle cover. Hammer it back on and line up the screw and hole. Reassemble. If you are doing this because of the left wheel hub is too far to the left when the pulley and belt are lined up, you can always add a wheel spacer to the right side to equal both sides. Try that first and if you are happy with it, it will save you the work of switching the hub around. Let me know how it works

@@bobbycarson5574 I am so glad to hear this, the only other problem that caused me grief was the brakes. I received a beautiful chrome brake caliper with 4 pistons. Did not work because there is not enough pressure to work on them. If this is what you got, do not install them. If you do you can’t rerun them. Call your sales person and get the 2 piston calipers instead.

@@danharrell6200 when my kit arrived one of the callipers was damaged,they are just gineric copys anyway,so I got another pair,slightly different design,but they are 2 pot and they fit,the only other issue i have is the exhaust,I've got the originals on with mids,I might just add a section into the rear header to bring the muffler under the axle
