Is there an Atlantic Starr unsung? One of my favorite groups. I would love Barbara Weathers and Sharon Bryan to performance together that would be epic.

What more can I say about Beautiful Barbara 1985 when Atlantic Starr released As the Band Turns as their very final platinum album for A&M, she sung on If Your Heart Isn't In It, Secret's Lovers and Silver Shadow, al three became hits. Shame on MCA MCA for not signing her then 1987 hit big with the album All in the Name of Love on a new label Warner with the hit Always followed by that was One lover at a time, and of course the album title hit. 1990 Master Key just proved Babs the beauty in her voice.

My girlfriend and I are binge watching The Mod Squad box set. I haven't seen it since it originally aired. The writing (and acting!) is really superb. We'll watch an episode and then yak and yak about the various social issues being addressed, the character development and of course the Paramount shooting location in Malibu Creek State Park, where "Alias Smith and Jones" and "MASH" were also shot.

I got to meet him at a Silk Sonic afterparty and he was just as sweet and humble as he is in this interview. Sat next to me at the bar for a good hour. We talked about everything except Bruno, I purposely wanted to enjoy a conversation with him without fan girling out. A night I'll never forget. Very nice guy.

lol not fact actually. I’m sure Virgil could play everything Thomas can play, but there would be plenty that Virgil can play that Thomas couldn’t. He’s on his own plane

When Eric said "Bobby Flay" he became my favorite person in drummer music ever. This interview was great because the interviewer as a drummer as well knew great questions to ask. Learned a lot about both of you so this was much appreciated as it serves as a look at the person we don't get to hear from often enough. I wanted to know how much input into the music he had and he kinda touched on it but not enough. I want to know where his input is heard in a song or songs that stands out strongest for him. Thanks again for this in depth conversation between musicians. My favorite drummer is/was 🕊️Prince🕊️

That introductory sentence says it all. Sure there may be sum guys out there cranking out exercises, playing "covers" & playing amazing solos. But notice those same guys dont show themselves PLAYING SONGS w/ OTHER PEOPLE..... once you start playing songs WITH OTHERS..... everything else goes out tye window. U just can't BASH YOUR DRUMS. you HAVE TO play THE SONG & INTERACT WITH OTHERS. PERIOD. If i had to make a choice .... & the ONLY 2 OPTIONS are 1) having every drum book ever made OR 2) having NO books, but having a BASS PLAYER & (either) a keyboardist or guitar player, who will ALWAYS practice with you ..... Id choose choice 2 hands down EVERY TIME. But in reality you really NEED BOTH. a good foundational technique AND people to PLAY WITH

Seen Bruno Mars 3 times this past year... first was silk sonic, then bruno in Feb 2023 and then just recently Aug 25. Each it's own experience with this last time I was really looking forward to watching Erik's solo. It's the energy of the drums that just hit me right to my core. I loved every show. Amazing really. So awesome for their success. ❤
