Barbara Weathers - Barbara’s career as a singer began when she was 13 and just a few years later joined the R&B super group Atlantic Starr as their lead vocalist. With Barbara at the helm, the group scored hit after #1 hit such as “Secret Lovers,” “If Your Heart Isn’t In It,” and the perennial classic, “Always.” Atlantic Starr toured extensively throughout Europe, Asia and the U.S. and before long, Barbara built up quite a following. She left the group in 1989 to pursue her solo career and her first record was produced for Warner Bros. by Maurice White of Earth, Wind & Fire. Since then, she has continuously performed and recorded around the globe.

Barbara and I went to middle school together. We were in chorus together for several years as well as other classes. Always a sweet girl and super talented. She looks exactly like she did in middle school. We went to separate high schools and she started her successful journey. She was always a truly sweet person.

I think she has a sister named Angie I used to work with her at a clothing store in Atlanta. And Angie let me hear the promo of secret lovers before it was released and I told her sister it would be a hit. And I also saw Barbara weathers perform at a club call illusions in the '80s she was very good. I hope her sister Angie is okay me and Angie went out several times to party. I'm also from North Carolina Charlotte.

What more can I say about Beautiful Barbara 1985 when Atlantic Starr released As the Band Turns as their very final platinum album for A&M, she sung on If Your Heart Isn't In It, Secret's Lovers and Silver Shadow, al three became hits. Shame on MCA MCA for not signing her then 1987 hit big with the album All in the Name of Love on a new label Warner with the hit Always followed by that was One lover at a time, and of course the album title hit. 1990 Master Key just proved Babs the beauty in her voice.
