Rode all Sat and of course had to work on sun.. FML. This week sucks .. 17* for the high tomorrow then warms up to 30s and 40s but rain I’m ride in the rain .. always do but not under 40* and rain .. unnecessary risk.

I throw 1,000 punches a day to keep my body moving. You never know when you have to defend yourself, so why not train your body to stay in shape and get home to your family. The heavy bag is one of the best investments you could make in yourself. It's a great way to relieve stress and devour depression.

as long as there isn't any snow on the ground I'm riding. I've ridden in windchills in the teens. if I can make a suggestion, get a snowmobile helmet. they're DOT rated, have extra padding, a chinskirt, and a double visor to prevent fogging.

The pin lock works great. I just don’t have one on this helmet. Great suggestions on that type of helmet though.💪🏾💯

By German helmets, he means the ones made to look like Wehrmacht helmets... not helmets... made in Germany. Most all helmts are probably made in China anyway regardless of what they look like. This is the first time I've ever heard them called German helmets. Usually people call them brain buckets. Because they can use the helmet to scoop up your brains after you splatter it all over the road. Wear a full face helmet. Bumblebees to the face and rain to the lips hurts, and I gave them up rather quickly when the straps of them caught a bug in my ear. Not something you want at 60 mph all of a sudden.
@ridefitnation2 күн бұрын
Well said. In NY we called them German helmets because they look just like helmets worn by German soldiers. Type in German motorcycle helmets on google. You’ll see it. 💪🏾💯
@choppergirl2 күн бұрын
@@ridefitnation The actual German versions are called Stahlhelm "steel helmet", and go back to 1916 predating the Wehrmacht (1933), but it was the use in WW2 that made them famous. I just had to double take what you were talking about when you said German helmets... I never heard anything about any helmet made in Germany being... inferior. It was only until you started talking about the front face getting smashed in during an accident that I was like... ohhh... no, he means the open faced biker gang military looking helmets... haha. Brain buckets, the EMT's call them here. I wear big thick black Vulcan leather "welding gloves" for motorcycle gloves... they are awesome as they are long and cover your sleeve ends. Pretty cheap at Harbor Freight too. So... welding gloves for the win. I had a pair for welding, and then bought a second pair just for motorcycling.

I've thought about joining a bike club but watching this video and reading the comments made me think otherwise. I've rode alone the almost 2 years I've been riding and what I love about it is I dont think about anything else while I'm riding. It's like meditating. I'm constantly paying attention to the road, my bike, and other drivers/riders. I never feel like I need to go ride when I don't want to. I never feel pressured to push any harder than I want to. I can ride for as long or little as I want to. Now that I think about it, it's the only real time I get to myself other than the gym. The rest of the time I'm Dad, Husband, coworker, employee, Son, Brother. I think alone time is more valuable than most people think.

this is funny to me, but just want to share with someone, had major back surgery about 6-7 years ago , so after the surgery sold my HD cause i knew riding a bike would not help my back whatsoever ,lately I have been watching videos of different people buying motorcycles and riding, I am getting that itch back again LOL, but use to luv riding but I'm going to be 76 years old in a few months and I don't think it would be a wise decision , bur a few years before my surgery as i was riding out East on the LIE to find no traffic for some reason as I was cruising about 65mph, all of a sudden a strange thought came into me head, I was thinking that what would happen now if all of a sudden one of my tires blew out from under my, whaaaat ? as you go down deep in the road of life you start to think differently , its weird , don't get me wrong I still have that desire in me and i just love having all that power under me that I control, maybe I am just getting old, but in my mind I'm still 30 years old , sorry this was so long but I am so glad I ran across your video ,thank you.....

This happened to me back in 2016. I just lost the passion of ride. I had a couple close calls. The mistake that I made was I sold my motorcycle. If I had it to do it all over again I would’ve kept my bike. Because a few years later I started riding again. Which means I had to go buy another motorcycle. That bike that I sold was my favorite motorcycle out of all the motorcycles I had ridden over the years. The guy sold it to will never sell it back to me either.

I can believe in your soul. I, too, have come to some mishaps in my riding. I have been riding for many, many years. I'm 70 and have given up on long touring. And this has given me peace of mind. It feels good to get out and get in. So I have had them feeling when I was your age. But it's called biker fever. Sometimes, your temperature can go up with stupid drivers. But now at 70 I ride locally and enjoy it. Plus, my people's know I'm close to home. You're ok to be at that moment, my brother. I've been there.

I've seen the texting/riding dude before. And he almost missed a corner. He went off road, but he caught it. Alcohol. Getting back riding 4 years ago has drastically reduced my drinking, as i won't ride when I drink, even 1 beer. It's also helped me lose 25 lbs this year, got 20 to go. I also carry, so, that's definitely not a good idea. As always, another great and useful/informative video. Stay safe!
