Should be easy enough to rig something up though, I would think either a slightly bigger piece of pipe or a rubber plumbing coupler?

If it's the same one I referenced in the video then you know that I didn't bother to locate a new one and just used the old one. But just call your local New Holland parts department and I'm sure they can locate one for you.

How do you get the get the line out of the shut off valve I have a 2810 and there is a line inside the line. Do you just muscle it? The inside line goes in aways also in the fuel filter
@FatChanceFarmstead

Hey, not entirely sure what you mean. But if you're referring to the rigid pipe that goes into the shutoff valve to the filter, yes you just loosen the connection on both ends and then use a bit of force to pull it out of whichever side is easiest first. Don't forget to close the valve.

@@FatChanceFarmstead I can un screw the ends from the shut off valve and the filter. There is another line that comes out past the ends that go in a few inches more, looks like brass. Very ridged. I tried to pull them out but the line is ridged not flexible. Afraid to bend it or pinch it. I drained the gas out already, do I still need to close the fuel shut off. It was not shutting all the fuel off and I was leaking fuel behind the fuel pump so that is why I am changing it out.

Sorry, I just saw this question. If all the diesel is out then don't worry about closing it. And it sounds like if you start unthreading the valve it will make it easier to force that line out.

Hey, sorry never saw the notification for this. It depends on what your using. Sometimes it's always open and sending a constant flow(wood splitter, manure spreader) or it's just to raise or lower something (discs, seed drill). Not sure what you mean by a one way system, but it has flow going in and out and some valves have two sets of remotes which come with two levers to control two different things.

Right because the pump gear stays in place in the tractor but there isn’t the possibility you don’t bolt the pump back to the gear right with those 3 bolts? I sent my pump out on my 5600 to get rebuilt and I put it together what seemed to be right exact same way. I bleed the lines at the injectors, it fires and dies immediately and looses its prime. Can’t figure out what’s going on

@@themonopolyguy4365 Is the rest of the fuel system good? How full is the tank? You can't get all the injector lines hooked up and not bolt it back on correctly. What was the problem before you had it rebuilt?
@themonopolyguy4365
@themonopolyguy4365 2 жыл бұрын
@@FatChanceFarmstead everything has been checked and double checked from the tank tap to the new injectors good flow to fuel pump. The pump has to be in there right then because everything is bolted and positioned exactly the same. Before it was smoking and stumbling bad at idle then slowly started to do it when ran at higher rpms. Since I’ve replaced the pump I can crack the injector lines and bleed out all the air, tighten everything up and it will smoke, start to run, die and then lose its prime.

Thanks for sharing. I think I need to replace mine. I’m going to check the pressure this weekend. What kind of fluid do you use?
@FatChanceFarmstead
@FatChanceFarmstead 3 жыл бұрын
That's a good question. Some people suggest the same oil you put in the engine incase they mix, but I use hydraulic fluid. Before you replace the pump though get your hands on a rebuild kit and replace all the seals as that may fix your problem (assuming the problem is that it's leaking). This aftermarket pump I have is not as well built and new holland doesn't make them anymore.

Thanks for the video. i have a 3230 Ford 3 cylinder that i am removing the pump on. So, i purchased a replacement pump for my tractor. i understand the timing is critical and observing the timing mark is key when removing the pump. Since this is a new pump would i use the same mark on the flange of the new pump as on the flange of the pump coming off?

Glad you like the video. I'm about 90% sure that you want to put it in the exact same position because those pumps work on a variety of tractors so the setting is for fords not your specific tractor. But I'd call a dealer or mechanic and ask to be certain. Why not just rebuild the pump that was on there?
