Your Part 2 video randomly appeared in my feed. All I can say is AMAZING!!!!!! I was 12 when the show aired and was instantly hooked. For the past month I have been starting a project of resin printing a Viper, going to try to weather it and detail it the best I can.

The model was unpainted in the images in this video. Its now in grey primer and has fibre optic window lighting. When I finally paint it in its final hull colour, the Galactica name plates will go on.🙂

Wait a minute ...... are you selling model kits this scale ? WHERE ? EDIT: I have said it before and I will say it again ...... forget cgi , models have been the way to go since the original shows so why change it ? This is much more impressive IMO.

Fantastic build, i am in awe at your skills involved to do this, and the Galactica looks fantastic. I would love to build a scale model of the M577 too, ive watched a lot of styrene builds but ive never done my own so ive been procrastinating for a while. I'm still not sure what size though. Im guessing about 400mm - 500mm in length. The scale does depend on wheels that are available though so the length may change and of course the overall scale. I also want to fit a motor and axles with 4 wheel steering, I am currently looking at 3d printing differentials and gearboxes to be able to do this, ive found the files to print them. The rc part sholdnt be as daunting as the building part as I have many years of rc building experience and currently i'm building rock crawlers which use all the 4ws and the like. Im hoping it will help me along the way haha. Thanyou again for the video and the awesome build.

Thanks so much for the kind words! The APC was fun. I'd like some accurate tyres for it very much, it was hand built at the time so I had to do the best I could. Let me know if you're ever printing accurate tyres!

It will always look way more realistic than CGI - great job. Now all you need is the motion controlled computer driven camera setup that Lucasfilm created back in the day.

Thankyou! The build began in 1999 but I only work on it sporadically. Maybe 2000 to 3000 hours? Very hard to say over so many years!
