What a touching sentiment that she actually has a name, I wish there was a cultural bleedover between the ship world and the train world that all engines would get actual names like their ocean going counterparts

The unintended forced-perspective at 5:30 is funny. Two tiny people peole, a giant man, and a "model" steam train.

An absolutely beautiful locomotive and a set of great period cars/wagons. A very nice piece of landscape to ride a train through. Makes one want to visit Norway just to take one of the excursions.

Your opening scene looks as if a Time Traveler when back in time and made a video of what trains looked like in the late 1800's. fantastic footage, I enjoyed your video very much. I will be adding to my favorites to watch again. Thank you.

Fantatisk video.

It's always fascinating to see how traditional and classical designs were adapted to all these new forms, or in the least how new styles were created to keep these forms fit for the artist and architectural styles of their time. Steam locomotives, cars, steam ships, and skyscrapers were all these previously unseen forms, yet designers found ways to make them fit the artistic and architectural aesthetics of the era. It's really impressive.

They look a bit like the British Railways 1,750hp Class 37 locomotives i used to drive in UK before i retired, which were built between 1960-1965... 2 locomotives for only 6 coaches??? Plenty of power then... The 37's were also capable of being coupled up in multiple with any locomotive type that had "blue star" 27 way multiple unit control... They are still very much in regular use, despite their advancing years... And they also have a considerable roar when worked hard

Thinking about what speed this represented in 1861. In the same area, there is also a paddle steamer. Been in summer route since it was new back in 1856. Not in service because of war, repair and sinking twice - otherwise, its possible to order a trip with it during the summers.

I love going to train, aviation and car museums, or visit these type of institutes that keep history alive. To look at the details of the used technologies is always fascinating for me. Trying to understand what's what and what it's use is. I always try to imagine the engineers designing and building those objects.
