You would use injectors on engines that don't have glow plugs the early engines

With the current engine it would be lugging too much with a taller 5th unfortunately. I actually have the Dyna 5th gear stuff sitting on the shelf too but decided not to til I have some more cubes😅

Sir, can 3L's engine fan clutch fix with this 10 blade fan? Will it hit effect the fan shroud?

So best I can tell from your site, this kit DOES NOT work on USDM 80 series cases running the viscous coupling - which would be 08/'92 - 12/'97. (HF2V) Is this correct? If so, do you plan to make a kit that does fit or is there a major clearance issue there?

Glad to see the 10 blade does that much better. About to do this upgrade on my Prado and get some fresh silicone oil in the hub. I go out to the Rocky Mountains in New Mexico and Colorado, as well as a canyon near where I live where the descent into it requires 4L and L gear both up and down. Have been nervous about going out in the Prado because I just got done replacing the head and turbo a few months ago and I'm anxious about taking it offroad again since that

Did you let it sit for 24 hours to cure? Did you drain the coolant? Doesn't help if coolant still inside and seeping out?

Why not use the same laser to mark the axle centerline on the guard? More accurate than holding up the tape and guessing at how straight up and down it is.

I wasn't concerned about the axle centre line being marked on the guard. It was merely a reference mark for where I measured. As you will see, I set the axle up further forward and also referenced multiple mounts and holes on the chassis etc to make sure I got the axle dead true. Not relying on where the front wheels sat before as they can move with the alignment adjusters anyway

great video, thank you for sharing. Regarding the turbo overspeed, i think looking at the turbo map and overlaying the flow for your engine (for the pressure curve you are running) might be a better way to make sure you don't overspeed the turbo rather than just looking at backpressure. my understanding is that backpressure vs boost pressure would be more for efficiency (IE at some point if the backpressure is x amount greater than the inlet manifold pressure then you're using more power than you're potentially gaining). in most cases, a vnt turbo sized to spool early will need to have the requested/target boost taper off in the higher rpm regions to avoid overspeed.

You just need a Bluetooth OBD2 dongle and then the appropriate app on your head unit (most use torque)

I’ve had a gt2256v turbo and a digibooster vnt controller on my 2lt and it worked miracles. Not I have a 1kzt with vgt and it’s a beast , pulls patrol y61 axles and 40s like 33s😂😂😂

This is cool. I'm from the states. I have a 89 pickup I did a solid axle swap on. I put a 3.4 5vze in it. I have a r150f and r151f. I wanted to make a hybrid. Pretty sweet seeing someone else doing the same

I've also put a the GT2052v from audi 2,5 on a Rover SDI ( 20t2n ) with pressure actuator, ( vnt's are to be vacuum operated ) the good old days . check for " rover sdi gt2052v " pressure atuated vnts are way funnier , no lags from idle and generally higher IAT & EGT

Thanks man. The 2LTE has actually really impressed me. It has not given me any issues really and has had a fair bit of abuse and not failed. And tbh if this car was a lightweight weekend track slayer the 2L would be an absolute weapon. It unfortunately just cannot be improved any further in the way I need which is torque down low particularly. I plan to try do a final dyno with everything and see what the final iteration resulted in before I put the 1kz in

I have an 06 Wrx I’m assuming it’s the same? Yellow is the same just a different pin on my ecu. Green wire my ecu has 4 pins for all ignition coils. So after passing the diodes I split the 2 diodes to 4 wires? “ 1 diode for 2 wires? “ Or do I have to use 4 diodes for all coils? Also what power source were you using on the blue ecu connection? Can i simply use an “ Add A Fuse “ in the fuse box? With like a 15a fuse?

I started working on one but it just got too complicated and was easier to just drive it via the factory turbo VNT module, using the Unichip.
