As you swapped from aluminium to chrome on the button and base,what are your thoughts on using Alclad polished aluminium? It would be just as reflective as the chrome, but would have an aluminium shade.

Hey there. I've been reviewing your laser gun videos as I am currently building a couple of them. Question for you. My kit only came with one tree of parts for the laser gun just like the one you showed in part 1 of this series and thus only 9 of those rectangular buttons. I notice here 28 minutes into the video you have a total of 18. Did yours come with another tree that included the others? Thanks
@ArcticModeler3 ай бұрын
Hey there Oggie, great to hear from you, I hope all is well. The additional 9 buttons were on the clear polystyrene tree. You can see them in the full unboxing for the CommLock here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i17Xm2B4l7BriNU. I imagine the idea was to allow a build option in which the clear buttons could be lit from behind with the appropriate colour. I didn't plan to do that so I just primed them all at the same time, as you observed at the 28:44 mark of this video. Take care and have fun!

XF-21 Sky is a color that was used on the lowers of early war British warplanes to make them more inconspicuous in the sky, and it would appear the Klingons had the same idea there
