As much i like Near as a character, i will say the ending definitely rush and make no sense. I recommended reading the manga to understanding Near intelligence more, but either then that. I liked the DN musical ending where both Light and L dies at the end. Although i doesn't mind the extra 13 episodes, seconds arc is not much of big issue. The end could be better, people overhatting Near just because he copy of L (Even tho he admit he never will be L. Just want finish Kira case) i do get the frustration of the poorly handle characters.

Light would've been suspicious of the TV thing I think, if he straight up is told the TV guy is coming, he would be sharp enough to maybe suspect something was afoot, especially after knowing L suspects people with relations to law enforcement. One thing I dont understand, Kira case is literally a very very dangerous case, its a god level threat to man kind.
