Hey Rich Thanks for your video. I just got my first Eastman a few days ago. I absolutely love it and I am an instant fan of Eastman. I went to the shop to try semi hollows and then I tried the T64V with a Bigsby. It was like some sort of magic it was so good I just had to buy it. The honeymoon is not over yet but I think I've found my new wife. I just hope the fascination lasts longer than my feeble attempts with actual wives.

Thanks for showing us your Eastmans from one unashamed Eastman fan to another. I use my three ‘Easties’ regularly. To add to my stream of comments, I’ve just painted on several more position dots that were either never there, or too subtle/faint to be seen, and completely removed the pickguard. Both of these ‘mods’ have improved it no end, IMO.

@@MrMjp58 - Interesting. I had to look at my neck to see what the fret markers were. I have an Eastman John Pisano that has no fret markers at all so that’s no longer an issue for me. You are more than welcome. I've been playing since I was 14 years old, and just turned 70. By playing, I mean in bars. I started with country music, moved on to rock and roll, and found jazz and jazz standards. I played for many years in a four-piece band: bass, drums, guitar and vibes. Always enjoyed the great players who could chord solo, and you do it as well as anyone I have ever heard. Bless you my friend, never stop.

An update to my previous comment. I bought the one I mentioned and started to modify it to my taste, as far as possible. I tweaked the truss rod and the action to micro-adjustments, bolstered the pick guard, put on 10 to 48 bronze strings, manipulated the floating bridge sideways, added a (painted) dot at the ninth fret, and adjusted my playing style somewhat - which was the main thing! Nothing major, but every small action had a positive effect. Being a rather pernickerty sort and being mainly a classical guitarist, I still find it frustrating in certain ways: the fretboard is too narrow for me, by around 5mm, the lack of a cutaway causes some distinct limitations, the tuners are too small, the low E rattles if struck at any velocity, the matt finish is a bit odd and I wish the jack socket was where it is on a 335. Having said all that, I haven’t stopped playing it. Some folk are never satisfied.. This is a very interesting instrument, as it will only do what it will ‘do’ and doesn’t allow for much flexibility in style, but it gives a very fair representation of what most non-classical players used, between say, 1920 to 1960. That’s the era of popular guitar I’m most interested in.
