awesome looking guitar! i also deal with pain while playing live from a broken collarbone (guitar strap lays right where my titanium plate has a screw sticking slightly out) so the lighter the guitar- the better! headed to a gig in a few hours where i'm playing my road worn jazzmaster

Thanks! Yeah, I’ve broken both collarbones and the last one in 4 places! I have the metal bar as well. It hurts with seat belts more than my guitar. This guitar is only 5 pounds!

Squier guitars and basses are great quality instruments and your Squier Tele is a beautiful guitar. Sorry to hear about the collarbone and back issues, hope you’re doing ok.

I think you’re right. These seem to be great little guitars. Part of my issue is that I’m 66 and I’m guessing these issues will only get worse with time. 🫤

Pro players like Jack use Squires playing out because they play and sound good but easily replaced if they are damaged or stolen. Got that from Earl Erb who is a Nashville Pro and session player.

Yep, I’ve read that as well.

I think that's all the Telecaster you probably need. Unless you have money burning a hole in your pockets and you just can't resist, then maybe a Player series Tele would do the trick for you.

Thanks! What kind of flats do you use? Also, what gauge? I've used Chromes but I'm thinking of trying the extra lights.

@@starrynightguitars I use chromes 11-50 but I know Matt uses chromes 10's on his guitars...I tried 12's but they were too heavy for me..have fun with your new guitar brother🙂

Thanks for the info. I think I’ll try to start with the 11’s.

@@starrynightguitars looking forward to hearing your thoughts on flats on a tele, Matt uses 10's mostly as they dont chew up his nails like the 11s did (as he only plays with nails)

@@proverbs11vs30 - Interesting. For the past year I've been using acrylic nails. They worked great but there was a good deal of maintenance. I decided about 2 months ago to stop using them and my nails are finally back. (When you use fake nails, your real nails become paper thin.) It's taken this long for them to grow out. MAYBE I should try the 10's because I do play a good bit with just my nails.

I have an Eastman T59V- like a 335. Great guitar but heavy! They do have a fully hollow 335 body style. I might have to check that out.
