It feel quite inconsistent when you criticise a wonder like Hanging Gardens or Etemenanki for having an easy placement requirement, because the AI go for it more, but then others, like pyramids, ALSO get criticised for having more difficult requirements- and would be “higher if grassland”. Feels like you needed to establish whether easy requirements or difficult requirements are more desirable. You can’t have it both ways though.

I love the ngao mbeba usually I pick the leader that gives a buff to the home continent and then I conquer it with my ngao mbeba it's perfect timing because right after I can start with my culture buffs as the congo ofc now you didn't factor in the congos synergies but with them easily A tier maybe even S

Heya Zond! Great video. I've started playing your challenges after a long Civ 6 Hiatus (I hadn't finished a game of Civ in over a year!). Just finished this one with a turn 189 science victory. I went with Lady of the Reeds and Marshes for my pantheon with all those marsh tiles nearby and was able to get Etemenanki and Oracle to my surprise which really helped my game. I ended up flipping a lot of Sumeria's cities in the end as they stayed in a dark age for a long time. Really fun game, might be up there with one of my favourite science victories!

God of Healing works very well with an Aerodrome next to a Holy Site. Heal all those bombers! :D

Arthur's ability works well on levied units. They are no longer considered levied after becoming Questing Knights, so if you have less than 12 turns left on levy timer, it's usually a profit. The same goes if you expect to lose said city state, as Questing Knights are your units, so they will not switch allegience back to the converted unit's original owner. For me, Hippolyta is A+ or even S tier hero. Mostly due to flexibility (boosting Settlers) and relevance even in late game - granting an extra attack to an entire airfield or aircraft carrier full of bombers is no joke. Oya can damage/heal religious units, so she can help your inquisitors or apostles. Also she is quite good at defending besieged cities as she will damage all neighbouring enemies, and due to being garrisoned she will not receive any damage on her own (while using her ability that is).

I've always found that for whatever reason the ai doesn't really like entemenaki, that or the placement requirement is awkward for them, I rarely ever fail to build it unless I just completely ignore it. It's a go to wonder for me whenever the spawn justifies it.

Yeah but like fundamentally Liang is like usless. She's a 3rd to 5th Governor at best. Due to how incredibly powerful Pingala and Magnus are. And then she doesn't provide any more use than extra builder charges. As 20% Districts construction doesn't work like ever, as you need her established which conflicts with making builders. Fisheries are good but not worth the promotion over Reyna, Moksha, Armani and Viktor only if war is on your door. City Parks are in no way worth 3 promotions over any other Gov and promotion, you should never plan a city over that way to high an investment promotion. Disaster immunity is good but usually never a deal breaker, like only good if you've gone for a suicidal Mt Vesuvius city settle. All in all such a crap but necessary Governor, should be 2-3 turns to establish, hell 1 I mean why the hell not. Also Fisheries should be either empire wide or Liang should actually be moveable. Liang the useless but necessary for +1 builders.

Frankly speaking, I still think Goddess of the Hunt is easily the S tier. Its not about the pantheon itself, but the luxury resources(camps) it improves. 3 out of the 4 camps(truffles, furs, ivory) gives an insane amount of money, decent amound of food and productions that significantly helps you with your early and mid game. If you have that pantheon, you wouldnt have the worry about not having either one of them. If the argument is about dependency, that could easily apply to majority, if not, all of the pantheon. With that being said, I believe God of the Sea should be S tier too, for every reason, especially you are started with a coastal capital, or perma spam harbor cities. Overall I think its a good tier list, but some of the good pantheon were definitely undervalued. Lady of the Reeds is also one of the example.

1. Seowon and observatory should be bumped down a tier, early campuses are quite useless and campus buildings generally generate most of the science in a campus, NOT the adjacency. Adjacency on commercial hubs + free inquiry is much more important for early science. 2. Street Carnival is EASILY A tier, the carnival project is absolutely BROKEN as it has an 104% production efficiency for Great People Points. It allows you to get the Medieval Era Great Engineers WAY earlier than any other civ even on Deity. THE CARNIVAL PROJECT IS BROKEN!!!! 3. Suguba, Cothon, and Royal Navy Dockyard and ALL S Tier. 50% Discounted economic districts are insanely good openers. Especially as first/second unlock districts you have close to zero scaling on them.

When evaluating the Ikanda, you mentioned that it grants the ability to construct corps and armies directly, but didn't mention the 25% discount it grants on doing so. This aspect of the district is important because it actually stacks additively with the 25% discount military academies grant on producing corps and armies directly, meaning that you can actually get a full 50% discount on producing corps/armies directly in every city that has an Ikanda with a military academy. While everyone else has to pay 75% of the cost to produce a corps/army directly, Zulu can pay just 50%. In other words, if we assume every civ has military academies in their cities, then everyone else has to pay 50% more production than Zulu does to produce their military.

Navigation School is 100% better than Madrassa

Sumeria is my worst civ. Ziggurats have to be placed in locations where you would prefer to put districts or wonders. The early barb ability might help you a few times, but really doesn't improve things over just getting a little luckier with goodie huts. Reduced city state levying is nice, but he has nothing to help him gain extra suzerainty, and city state units are usually crappy later in game which means you have to spend extra money to make those levied units useful. His war carts are nice. but you'll be outclassed by AI too fast to make use of them at higher difficulties. Gilgamesh is great to eee the AI running, since he is easy to just friend right away and not have to worry about. The rxtra lifespan and hero receuit time in heroes and legends mode is....okay, but not really going to impact your gakes most of the time.

Two tile lakes tiles are great for holy sites on one side of lake and a perseeve on other side. I always seek these out.

I play civ 6 a lot but I don't like I got the same version everybody else does. I can't get the Statue of Liberty or the Golden Gate Bridge plus there are no natural disasters or tunnels, dams and many others

I would rank the Georgian walls a shade higher, as you want to be building walls in Culture games anyway for the bump in tourism they give you at Conservation. Given that Georgia's main victory types are usually either Religious or Culture, this building supplements both of those win conditions, as well as providing extra housing and diplo favour (if you go Monarchy) but most importantly, they heavily help your Science growth when you unlock the card that adds +2 Science for every Renaissance Wall built (something you'll be building anyway as Georgia). Obviously, the defensive benefits are also important, as they'll help deter other civs from attacking you. Odds are that you'll be using this Military policy card anyway, since Culture civs aren't exactly starved for those slots. There really is no downside to building them, beyond the production cost, which can be made cheaper through Limes and the WC resolution that cuts production costs in City Centers. If you have Valletta on the map, you can even faith buy them, something Georgia should have no issues doing, considering their bonuses towards Faith generation and additional Envoys towards City States that follow their religion.

Bath in D tier makes me sad. I know the meme with civ 6 is play wide not tall, but do you just magically get +10 housing to all your cities when you play? I am constantly chaffing against the housing limit in my games.

I am happy to see that you agree the Korean campus is just ok. I have always thought that if og Korea didn’t have the science modifier attached to the leader ability they would be a pretty weak civ overall. Obviously I don’t think the Hansa is S tier but that’s just difference in style. I can see and would agree for the way you play on its ranking. I do however take issue with the absolute best district, Mali commercial hub, ranking so low. Universal cost reduction + super easy adjacency for easily the strongest synergy for both monumentality and free inquiry. Combine that with the general power of trade districts and great merchants. That’s S tier. Overall though just wanted to drop a comment!

Another unfortunate thing about Eiffel is that it's tied to the tech that makes wall building obsolete, meaning you can't get tourism from them. A minor thing, but that's some easy tourism you're missing out on if you get Steel too early.

Anti Cav units have some potential with Sultan Saladin, they get the X2 Support promotion and benefit from the increased Support bonuses of Saladin himself, making them extremely hard to take down.
