The Grand Bazaar is insanely cracked. It is way better than D tier. Getting extra amenities and gold plays in exceptionally well to the Ottoman playstyle. The strategics barely matter but the amenities are very good. Militaristic civs are usually starved for production, gold and amenities, so a reduced cost bank that gives amenities is very synergistic.

Interesting that the American Film Studio was so strong in Multiplayer that it got nerfed into the ground (+30% tourism instead of +100%). But in single player it's F tier.

To my knowledge, the multi-player mod also reworked tourism to be a lot more accessible/easier to win, so they had to rebalance the film studio to account for it. Trying the mod against bots really shows how much easier they made a tourism victory (happens without even going for it lol)

The georgian walls sound weak af but they allow you to go fewer holy sites and still have massive faith output. Great for dumping into jesuit education. Massive midgame spike with monarchy + science on walls card + kilwa kisiwani

5:00 >praises the faith adjacency bonus >shows a campus with little more than 2(3?) bonus adjacency Honestly my main problem with the Madrasa. Obviously you want campuses with good adjacency but you also want holy sites with good adjacency… for the same reason, more faith. Both districts mainly get their bonuses from the same source (mountains) so in most cases you will have to choose yourself which one get the prime spot and which one have to manage with less.

Even if the adjacency isn't amazing, giving your district another yield is great - it's why we like Work Ethic.

@ personally I would only pick work ethics if I already got Dance of the Aurora, Dessert Folklore or Sacred Path. Flat yield >>> variable yield any day.

9:20 Stave church justify going work ethic with Varangian, and the bonus prod is nothing to sneeze at on an already okay building. I would’ve put it in C tier

Honestly i would put it in B, 4 woods are doable and will net a 6 adjacency holy site. This also works well with the fishing boat bonus because coastal cities are incentived to maximize production on land tiles instead of using farms so keeping forests as norway makes sense anyways

The sukiennice is even better if you use it with owls of minerva, the extra trade routes you get from their vaults can raise the production of cities considerably if you have plenty of city states close..

You put the film studio in F tier? It literally doubles your tourism output. It's easily the best structure in the game. Grand Bazaar in D tier also is an objectively terrible take.

Stave Church is excellent if you take dance of the aurora and work ethic. Find any tundra forest and you’ve got yourself up to a +15 faith and production holy site. By conservation it’s a guaranteed +30 faith and production if you put the holy site in a tundra. Outside of that best case scenario it still pairs very well with work ethic. Does this synergize with Norway though? Ehhh, not really, unless you use the faith to pump out raiders while using the production to build your cities up.

Film studio has so much potential if they remove "in modern era" clause, it's so sad. That and thermal bath just needs to be put higher in the civics tree, like at guilds or something
