AC EVO will and modded AC always was the most beautiful and realistic game, yet it does not focus on the most competitive player base. It's more for people who want to play once a weekend and get the true-to-life experience without subscriptions. AC Evo might stop new people from trying out other games first, but it's in its own niche - If it kills anything, it will be AMS2 and similar games. iRacing is online and competitive - it will always be the clear choice for most competitive players - it's different type of fun. GT7 and Forza Motorsport are accessible simcades designed with controllers in mind first.

All that effort and time…only to get punted on the 1st lap. Why bother?

I appreciate people like you. You called out the cheating even though we all know the trouble that can bring. Thank you.

If you can learn anything from Jimmer, it's dream big. The only thing keeping most people in their sheds, is themselves. If Jimmy wants to turn a few laps in an F1 car, for example, all he needs to do is say it out loud enough times, and that outcome will manifest itself.

Hot take, this shouldn’t be legal. If their goal is to replicate real racing, this can’t be done and therefore shouldn’t be legal.

Hey Justin I just want to say thanks for all your helpful instructional videos. You always have good explanations for why you employ one technique over another and I am not only faster, but I understand why I am faster (and with less heat in the tires). I started in August of 2023 and now I'm ~3400 on oval. I'm planning to book a lesson once I plateau as I"m trying to glean as much from your videos and others. One thing I"m specifically looking to do is make my own oval setups. Thanks again for making sim racing more understandable to me!

I see 40K indicated. Does KZbin round up in this instance, or can that be interpreted to mean we're at 40K plus, I.E. DJ has met his 40K goal. I'm gonna assume that's the case and say congrats! To the many more you deserve for the quality of content you put out. You're a big reason for me having developed a greater interest in improving my skills on iRacing's paved ovals. So thank you, Justin. I'll do my best to avoid being featured in any of the "idiot" reels or on /simracingstewards. You keep improving as a driver (even if at your level there's limited room left for improvement) and keep up the great work with your KZbin content and watch your success grow! 🎉

I still need to use the legacy site from time to time. For whatever reason, iRacing can't seem to grab my payment information from my steam account after an update, so everytime there is an update, I need to spend 10 minutes on the legacy site to get the payment authorised so I can go racing.

Couldn't they make it not possible to do this? Should only be able to bind to a pedal or you gotta use auto-clutch.

Actual conversation: "I'm gonna protest you, Drew!" *I finish the race* "Hey, sorry, I did what I could to avoid crashing but do you have any ideas what I could have done better? Sorry if I was actually at fault." "Oh, let me watch the replay..." "Oh you really didn't do anything. Sorry Drew." Not all chat is offensive. I won't protest anyone who apologises, does it by accident, etc. I did protest one person - he told me on voice chat that he was trying to put me into a horrible wall.

you are honestly one of the best tutorial type sim racers out there and even though I dont race oval much, most of your tips can be applied to all racing. keep doing great man

You're follow up video should be how to race prep. Yes, you ran a single pole lap, but i bet you cannot do it 50 times consecutively while also keeping the tires from shredding. I see lots of people lay blistering qualifying laps, but then fall off because they dont know how to manage their car in race.

Any chance you could make a terms video that you could link in the description of every vid? There are a lot of terms you use without a thought that I have to google. Obviously a me problem but I think others would benefit. Even simple stuff like “drive off straight” or “snap” can be confusing.
