Great vid! Thanks. My walkman makes noise, but the LED does not light up, so I guess it's more defective than just the belt. So I didn't start desoldering. Unfortunately the mechanism which detects that a cassette is inserted fell out, and I'm not sure if I put it back correctly. I really loved this walkman, but last time I checked if it works was 2016.

The dolby cassette is actually wrong fluxivity. You need to use the 250nWb/m and extrapolate the correct voltage from there.

I owned one but all the buttons not work when I press I don’t know why
@LT.tapeheads.service17 күн бұрын
Check remote switch status if its working properly. In switched modes you have to get no more than 1 ohm resistance between appropriate switch contacts. And also check if tape door sensing switch is ok - when doors are closed it should be no more than 1ohm resistance. Sometimes buttons are corroded inside, but its less likely. Cheers

Hello! I encountered this problem. The player does not enter playback mode. In this case, rewinds work in both directions. I took off the cover, the belts are stretched a little and need to be changed. I carefully wiped the rosin off the printed circuit board with isopropyl alcohol. After assembly, playback mode turned on several times. It seems like the problem is somewhere on the PCB. here is a video of the device working: kzbin.info/www/bejne/opLNg4qNpbJ_m7Msi=Rcsvfjr6_Z7NTiY6 kzbin.info/www/bejne/ammVdXpmj96pock How realistic is it to solve this problem?

I changed the buttons als but still not working. I have 4 almost same with exact the same problem. Everything works fine, except play and stop buttons. What do I do wrong? It’s not a broken button so the problem must be somewhere else..checked everything, no broken parts. Just play and stop buttons don’t work…
@LT.tapeheads.serviceАй бұрын
Sometimes buttons are ok, but off/hold/remote switch is faulty - corroded and if its not in Off mode, then buttons play stop do nothing. Check that part. And also door close position switch, check if it is ok - when closed it should do show short circuit when checking with a multimeter.
