Infinity, it has Bromoxynil in it which is a terrible terrible chemical. Look up the LDL and you will see it is one of the worst products out there. Makes glyphosate look like a walk in the park. If you need an aerator, that means you don't have functioning soil or enough earthworms...likely from pour-ons and wormers and other poisons. Sad, you could have lush pasture with AMP grazing.😢

How fast do you pull the Hirsch when seeding that min till /no till stuff? How about on finished plowed ground? Is it an 8 meter bar?
@farminainteasy7 күн бұрын
On minimal till or stubble, we are pulling it at 8-11kph. Yes it is an 8.16 meter tool bar. Plowed ground is a significantly harder pull because of the traction. Probably averaging 6-8kph on that really soft ground. Would be a little better if I had duals.

As always, your production is top notch. Do you have a method to your upload times? My algorithm info says 7am saturday or Sunday is best because your audience needs to watch it so the video can be shown to new people. I bought tubebuddy for one month to see what AI can do for me. Theres a video listing the AI tools for creators that are cool out there. Look at the “when your subscribers are active” and get 6 solid hours of them in your release window it says. Sun from 0700 to 13:00 is good for me.

How much horsepower does that setup require
@farminainteasy10 күн бұрын
It's rated for 270hp, but we are pulling it with 235hp and getting along just fine. The hills bog it down on tilled ground where you have less traction.

Love the honesty about coming up short! When you pulled up with such a tiny area left unseeded my first thought was “I bet they’ve underestimated the field area” and almost your next edit was “actually we’ve seeded more than 40 acres”. I’m very impressed with the accuracy. You’re still coming to grips with the drill so it’s a good result. I hope the rest of the sowing season rolls on uneventfully. At least you’re not dry!!! We actually did look at the Amazone, pretty closely actually at Agritechnica in 2023. Feel free to go back and look at that video "we found every no till drill...." We just didn't think that we could throw it into as many different situations as the horsch. We literally looked at every and any no-till drill we could find in the global market.

@@farminainteasy Just got back from watching it. Hadn't heard of Horizon before (very interesting), but like Bednar & Vaderstadt, not in my area (western NY). Amazone, Horsch, Kverneland, & Poettinger are probably equally represented around here. Although don't believe I've seen any in the fields.

So far I'm a very big fan of everything horsh avatar wheather it's the NA version or Euro. I don't personally know a pile about soybean production, however the you tube channel "Brian's Farming Videos" uses a 40' Avatar for his soybeans, and it appears to work very well for him. I would think the 10" spacing on the NA version would be ideal for you! Plus the speed and precision of course.

What made you interested in the European manufacturers
@farminainteasy13 күн бұрын
In a nutshell, we have a lot in common in our area with the European fundamentals of farming. Speed and efficiency are part of it, but honestly they have been farming longer than us here in the west. They may have some attributes we can learn from.
@TrevorStruthers28 күн бұрын
When you calibrated it, wouldnt it be a good idea to check the calibration again to make sure? Youre already doing so much might as well double check the work. Interesting to connect your drill to your phone. I saw a bluetooth trailer brake controller just the other day. Everything is so full of data anymore
@farminainteasy28 күн бұрын
Yes, you are completely right. What I typically do is check the calibration after the first few acres. I like the idea of letting the seed pack into the metering rollers to see if it changes. So far, the second calibrations have been within .04 of a pound or less.
