Nice drill. Be cool to see how it works for you. I prefer the row spacing closer together myself as well. Lots of guys running 10 to 12 inch here, but I like my 6 inch spacing. Think it helps with weed surpression better. Canopy closure comes quicker.

Thank you for watching and the comment! Our last drill was 7.5" spacing which worked, but I've always liked the idea of it being less, so the new drill is 6.5" which is very exciting. We had to go with a European spec drill and compromise on our total width to get it though. Stay tuned for more drill vids!

Sweet ! So u ordered the 10.25 SD, 6.5 inch seed width, so the fert goes with seed or does it mid row band it?

Thank you so much for watching AND the comment! Unfortunately this drill will put the seed in the same furrow as the fertilizer, it does not have mid row banding. For us it was not the end of the world, as we rely on our Soil aerator to keep our soils soft, and we have had enormous success in broadcasting our nutrient packages. We just try to keep the nitrogen as its own pass so we can put it on prior to a rain, even if the crop is already coming up.

Whats the hp required to pull 26 ft?

Not sure exactly, but the Horsch has very minimal draft. We are going to pull it with the Fastrac 4220.
