My house came with this type of door knob and I was able to take off the cover then I was puzzled how to remove it until I seen your video so much appreciated

How can I remove the spout ? I’ve removed the nut from the back, & top knob and American Standard was kind enough to send parts bc I’m medically locked down , and now plumping locked as well? I’ve applied wd40. Silicone spray but , she said it just lifts off once I keep moving it back and forth. So far I feel defeated, bc I don’t have any room to move it completely around but , she said I didn’t need too. I had diagnosed the issue from watching videos yet the local plumbing places tried to tell me I was incorrect. One even tried to tell me I needed a new hot water heater my element had gone bad ! I said not w a gas heater! Silence. After that they told a man I didn’t listen , when it was them that didn’t listen thus the call to AS. But , I hate to call back when she made it sound like I had half the battle won. I even asked for someone who had muscle to try to twist and lift. No luck ! Any advice? Basically, I had hot water being diverted to the tub spout and hand faucet. It is a diverter issue but , I have parts now to fix but can’t seem to get it off. I don’t want to damage it or plumbing bc it’s discontinued and Is a higher quality than a box store Carries- specialty plumbing is expensive but lasts. The cartridges w as are brass so you can usually just replace the o rings and cap. But this tib spout isn’t coming up. It’s turning back and forth but not up! Any advice from I’m not an idiot woman in SC? Thank you !

The one in my video is made by Danze. it has a small round cover plate that pops out then a set screw holds the spout on with an allen head. once that is loosened then only an "O" ring holds it in place so it just lifts straight up.

Thank you but I’ve removed set screw w Allen wrench ANC’s removed pull top on diverter stem. Sprayed almost 1/2 can different days down every opening but it’s loose but won’t pull up ! 🤷‍♀️

@@KellyRamsey-tw1om I am guessing you are talking about the large arm/spout the water comes to of. if so I don't have any other ideas other than maybe the fallen head is not far enough out. once it is off the copper cylinder that has the diverter has to be unscrewed from down in the body. it does not just lift out.

I was interested in the number 6 because it's a pain in the butt and how much play do you have with the fuel rail because you can't get a socket down in there without maybe damaging something that was my main concern the number 6 so I guess I have to relook at it and use the type of swivel or something but remember the sockets are long so it doesn't really give you much room to work with I don't want to have to take that fuel rail off so I was hoping for an answer granite you're right with the tools you need because those back ones against the firewall are a pain in the butt that number 6 is really bad

It helped pulling the valve out. I was worried I would break something. Once it broke loose it came out easily. We already had them ship us the valve so it was just a matter of putting it back together. The valves look different but it works.

If you have Cutco knives, you can buy the sharpener from a seller on craigs list. I use the Cutco stones on my serrated Cutco knives and then finish them in the Chef's choice sharpener. It brings them back to new.

Easy way to filter out if this is the issue is by applying both E-brake and regular brake while in gear, turning wheel (or not), and applying some gas. I was able to establish that my mount was bad as you still get the same feeling of the motor vibrating down onto frame. Since the vehicle is not in motion, you eliminate any suspension-drivetrain components!

pretty mechanically inclined myself, having changed front end struts, UCAs, sway bar links, and other front end parts mostly stress free but haven’t tackled anything in the engine yet. been having a stutter issue and hoping changing out spark plugs will help! thanks for the video boss, gonna be watching it again next week whenever the plugs come in!

Hey man, I’ve just found your video. Replaced sway bar bushes (they were well worn) both top mounts (worn out) drop links (worn out) but clatter over slightly bumpy roads and ugly noise on right turns persist. I’m hoping your vid has solved my problem. Did you have the light persistent clatter? I’ll let you know how it goes! Thanks for your time and effort in posting!

Not really, my noise was turning right or going up an incline when accelerating (basically under a load) causing the engine to lift up due to bad motor mount and causing it to bind with the transmission I suppose. If yours is making noise all the time could be suspension or drive train related. Are any of your CV axle boots broke open? Mine was a 5 spd. If someone started out in first up a hill while I stood beside the engine I could see it rise up more than normal. Hope this helps. Let me know what it ends up being. Take Care

@@scherdaddy65 Hey man, so replaced the engine mount and the nasty noise from left wheel when turning right under power is gone. Quiet, so quiet. Engine mount also cleared up a slight bit annoying vibration when accelerating and when idling at around 2000rpm. Clanking persisted until I rechecked front right hand top mount which I somehow managed to not install correctly. Rattled them up until snug but still kooked it. Extremely surprised to discover it loose. Still can't see how it happened unless it bound up then moved loose as I drove. Was just a little movement but enough. Chased this clanking noise through both droplinks, sway bar bushes, engine mount and finally the top mount. Everything is excellent now. Your video set me on the right path so thanks a lot, I appreciate it. Did the starter motor too. Airbox is a bitch but wriggles free to the left with patience. Noted it can't be tested without reconnecting everything. Cheers amigo, I've subscribed.
