Do you have a suggested kit of materials, paints, brushes to start with?
@Alex_Teal3 ай бұрын
Hi, I don't really like to talk about what kind of painting kit "should" be, it's like a good chef - there is a knife for each product. You need to not only create your own kit, but also understand why it is like that. If you have the opportunity - try my course, I'm talking about the materials for the first half of the course, it's useful. Here www.alex-teal.us/ I understand that this is a sudden offer and here is a -30% discount on the course: RELAX30. By the way, any enthusiast who reads this comment can use it, although the coupon has an expiration date. PS: Ok, in short: up to 8 colors of paint from one of my videos, 3 types of natural brushes - flat semi-round/round large, flat rectangular medium and small, gamsol, odorless white spirit or turpentine. Larger palette, thick canvas. Buy offline so you can physically touch it, trust your instinct.

Outstanding video Alex! Is this your voice doing the voice over? Or an AI generated voice? It's it AI it's unnerving I think the term is uncanny valley, if it's you it's creepy AF. 😂
@Alex_Teal3 ай бұрын
Hey, thanks for the comment! This is a very sensitive issue for me, because I have a very strong Eastern European accent and my voice would be more suited to some crime documentary about fights with bears in Minsk than to painting. Do you have a few minutes to check a couple more voices? Look, in the last video I replaced the "whispering" voice with this one, what do you think? kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZmbXn2OAi6uZidksi=CHf6UHeVgRa72RJT And this "whispering" was used on another channel with horror stories, what do you think? kzbin.info/www/bejne/parNm4KueZaYmLcsi=o19-CY622D-irjYg But I also want to replace it with this one: drive.google.com/file/d/1T5yAaU70XFLK-po-ZcjUHNOnwh6QLNMw/view?usp=sharing I'd be glad to hear any opinion

@@Alex_Teal I apologize for being insensitive. I only speak American English, and thought/think I was only crudely jesting about an AI voice. That being said the first example in your reply sounds much much better! Id use that. The 2nd one seemed similar to the first. And the 3rd one without the video sounds like crime scene documentary voice and I would avoid it Keep up the great work!
@Alex_Teal3 ай бұрын
@@RayJaszcz Still I don't see what you're apologizing for, everything is great, you help me make better content. The last voice (without video) and the whispering one you've already heard - which one would be better for HORROR stories, what do you think?

Thank you for sharing this! I enjoyed watching it. I was wondering if you painted it all in one go or do you typically let it dry at some point and then continue? Asking because I have trouble putting paint on top of paint without it mixing and turning into a different colour. Not sure what I’m doing wrong.
@Alex_Teal4 ай бұрын
Hi, there are 2 ways: On Dry - this is when we let the previous layer dry and then apply paint, this technique is shown in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZmbXn2OAi6uZidksi=mUJ5tROxJRFWc1c- On Wet - this is how I did it in this video, when we apply fresh paint to another fresh one. Here the pressure on the brush and how you hold it play a big role. Try to take the brush like Harry Potter holds a magic wand and paint on a vertical plane. I have a separate video on this topic, but it is included in the painting course, which you can find at the link www.alex-teal.us
