@FirstTimersCycling22 күн бұрын
I agree, only if you had topped off the reservoir when pads were getting low. If that's the case, when replacing pads, the pads will be thicker, and you would then have to open the bleeder valve to relieve pressure and/or excess brake fluid in the line. I didn't need to do this, and it worked out fine. Thanks for commenting!

Along with finding a good quality set of brakes. Want to get something that when your using the brakes they feal like something you'd find on a motorcycle. Just that type of sturdiness. I've got a hydraulic brake setup. Just don't know what to get off amazon. Anyways, THANKS FOR THE VIDEO MAN! Nice job!

I'm happy you found this video helpful!! For brakes, if you want good brakes, I've had experience with Enduro 4 piston calipers, and those are very good for brakes. I had Hope Tech v4's on an XC bike, which are overkill, but I loved the feel of them. If you want motorcycle feel, I'd look for a 4-piston caliper, especially for a heavier bike like ebikes. Hope this helps and thank you for watching!

@FirstTimersCycling2 ай бұрын
Is it a constant squeal while on the brakes or does it come and go like the rotor is warped? Also, did you use degreaser on the rotors and pads to get rid of any potential contaminants that may be on it? I have a new bike that have brake squeal, thinking about doing another video on how to clean them up. Try this, first off wear gloves, spray degreaser on the rotors and pads and sand them, you can spray the rotor after with brake cleaner and let dry, for the pads you spray brake cleaner, pat dry then use a torch to burn off any residue left on them. See if that helps! I'm pretty sure if you change the pads themselves after cleaning off the rotor, the brakes will probably not squeal anymore. Hope this helps!

@FirstTimersCycling3 ай бұрын
Hi there and thank you for your question! To be honest, when we set Alvin's bike to 25A, it seemed like battery life was longer but there were too many variables involved. His front tire is too wide so it drags on the fork, his rim brakes at the time were dragging, and multiple times he had to tow one of our friends when he was gassed out. So this all led to battery depleting faster. Up until today, his bike now has disc brakes but he's still been dealing with the front tire drag. He did buy different tires though so this should help a ton. Stay tuned! 😊

If you have a couple existing front chain rings and you’re trying to do a single speed like this, high voltage kit makes an adapter plus spacers for $65. The piñon spider adapter alone is $72. Just tryna save ya some money. Also single speed only makes sense if you’re 72v.

I just saw an ad for this scrolling through Facebook. As a professional mechanic, this gadget seems needlessly complex. I do know there are a few instances where removing a wheel is difficult, but those instances are rare. Me, I don’t even touch the derailleur. I just open the quick release and push the wheel out. It can even be done without the bike in the stand; just open the quick release, hold the bike by the saddle so the rear wheel is off the ground, and push the wheel out. Out of curiosity, do you still use it?

Hello and thanks for commenting! Totally understand your point but do take note that a quick release is a lot easier than a thru axle release. Or at least for me.
