There’s another verse in the Quran accusing the israelites being the sons of monkeys and pigs. It uses the same word (khanzeer) to refer to them as pigs. Don’t think the quran meant they’re the sons of monkeys and decomposed flesh. I don’t find this argument about khanzeer being decomposed flesh convincing. It likely was referring to pigs since that’s what the judaic law outlaws as well.
