Mate this is so tricky I’ve done my team but then realised that Spain / Germany will play after the semis wich means at least 2 transfers there same with Portugal France another 2 that’s already 4 dubravka will be gone that’s already my 5 transfers very difficult lol

Hi Scott. Useful video. Good review of possible player targets. A lot of the players mentioned were on my radar. Finished MD3 with 51 points , Total points 230 but my OR dropped to 2523. My transfers of Maignan and Oyarzabal didn't pay off and I got really punished for not bringing in Mbappe. Did an initial draft and a lot of my picks were players I had picked in group stage. Agree that it's best going for budget defenders with good clean sheet potential, my draft defence Guehi, Mittlestadt and Cucurella but like the look of England defensive double up and considering a swap up from Mittlestadt to Walker it also reduces my overload of Spain and Germany players with the possibility of them clashing in the Quarters and feel Denmark have a chance of scoring against Germany .My mids in draft are the Germany double up of Musiala and Gundogan who I had in groups along with Ruiz and Fernandes. Ruiz is still a question mark but feel I need to cover Spain attack and he seems to have done well and is budget friendly but I do also like the Austrian midfielders Baumgartner and Sabitzer who around same price and could save me a transfer in the next round. Picking forwards is the toughest decision of all. Can only have three and think Mbappe is a no brainer, the world and his wife will have him and you'll get punished like I did last time out if he bangs and you overlook him. The other two spots are tricky. None of the premiums have really caught the eye outside Mbappe. Feel I need to cover England attack despite everything so far because of the fixture and it's a straight choice between Kane and Bellingham. The midfielder is cheaper but Kane has penalties and so he's made my draft. My final spot for now gone to Morata but your dive into Gakpo with his varied route to points and his total points so far is swaying me. Budget is forcing me to stay with the budget Romanian goalkeeper Nita. Romanian defence hasn't been bad but if I went for Gakpo I would make a change as I don't like a striker I have facing my keeper at this stage. I will be using my Max Captain booster this Matchday to try and maximise on the attacking potential in this round. Good luck for R16.

Wasnt doing too well, my 12th man in 1st round was pants but max capt got me up to top 6k & 218 points this week. Got goal boaster to play maybe this week or QF but no idea who/how im gonna play it ? Lol just fill up on mids & strikers who can score & poor cheap defenders/GK…..or make it more balanced with defenders who could score too. Thoughts ? Im considering giving up on england though as killing me on 2 levels having them in my fantasy football too ! We look so poor only time we look half decent is when we move ball quicker ! But it feels like tactically southgate is telling them not too do that…..the slow passing is do predictable yea we wont let goals in but we wont score either !!!!

In hignsight i must of been on medication to transfer in and captàin Kane over not having Mbappe. If i knew Mbap was certain to start he wouda been in and cap instead of kane. Hi Scott. Shows how volatile the game is I've now dropped OR from 817 to 3222 basically because I didn't bring in Mbappe. Currently sitting on 40 Matchday points with Lukaku and Castagne to play and no goal scorers in my team. Always knew this would be a tricky matchday and so it's turned out. Gutted at Maignan saving a penalty only for it to have it be retaken. A France clean sheet and penalty save would have meant he would really have hauled. This hot on the heels of MD1 when I played Goal Bonus and captained Lukaku only to see him have two goals disallowed and picking the wrong Romanian goalkeeper who clean sheet. Sometimes the Fantasy Football gods work against you. I'm just checking I haven't broken any mirrors or walked under any ladders. 😊 Good luck for the rest of the Matchday.

Criticism of England and Southgate is fair, but throwing cups at him and booing like that is pathetic behaviour. He and the players are trying their best, despite the poor performances. No team has set this tournament alight apart from Spain maybe. Portugal and Austria have also been positive, but other than that it's been very scratchy from nearly every team. Hoping Jota gets the start tonight 🙏

Hi Scott, Currently on 19 Matchday points, total198 and OR 817. I took some punts this Matchday with the Wildcard coming up including a couple surprises. I swapped out Ronaldo for Spanish striker Oyarzabal which didn't go great but if Ronaldo rested I'll be up on the transfer, a shock one I took out Mittlestadt even though I knew he was playing because I fancied Switzerland to score and as had plenty cash brought in Grimaldo which paid off and as I was reasonably happy with the rest of the team I decided on a goalkeeper upgrade as I'd hinted at earlier and went Dubravka for French keeper Maignan. I didn't play any booster as I wasn't totally confident I would get out an full eleven but so far so good and will save my Max Captain for R16. I captained Kane again with vice on Lukaku. I'm going with Maignan, Grimaldo, Castagne, Guehi, Bellingham, Musiala, Gundogan, Eriksen, Oyarzabal, Kane and Lukaku. Good luck in the rest of the Matchday. Keep up the good Euros content.
