Another album that I sang on. Now days, I get the different choirs that I sang with mixed up but I believe this is the year I drove the local Revivaltime bus and was made {president} of the choir. What a wonderful time and group.

I worked for Nancy Harmon for years and played the keyboard for her group. She sang this song back in the late 1950’s and 1960’s. She sang the soup outta this one!

You are not mistaken about the origin of this song. My college choir had a beautiful arrangement of this song in 1956 or '57, and I have sung it often as a solo since that time! That pretty much gives my age away, doesn't it?

How sacred music has changed. The music heard in the modern church today deafens the message of Jesus Christ to merely a spectacule of entertainment where conviction to sin is absent. May this music beautiful music once again grace the homes of God's people in these times. Blessings to all!

"PRECIOUS MEMORIES" was sang by the Blackwood bros. @ the closing of Glady's Presley's funeral in 1958 in Memphis at graveside. She was a member of their church & this was her FAVORITE SONG. It's written that when they started a young Elvis threw his self on her casket... 😔 "I'm redeemed", "Precious Lord take my hand" & "In the Garden" were also performed.

I am stunned and thrilled to find this marvelous recording of the the Revival Time Choir! I first heard them with the great C.M. Ward as a thirteen year old young man. I was so moved and effected by the choir's ministry and of course Rev. Ward's preaching over the years. It has been so very long that I have heard them sing and have looked in vain for their recordings only to find this marvelous recording here today on KZbin! Does anyone know if Lee Robbins is still alive or where he is now? His singing surpasses even professional tenor artists heard on the concert stages of today! This choir matured over the years to become the gold standard of the evangelistic style of gospel singing and playing. Their full rich natural sound and the anointing of the Holy Spirit set them apart from all the others and they will never be forgotten! Does anyone know how to obtain access to their recordings over the years? I would love to know if they've been made available. Thanks for this posting this marvelous recording!

I am so very pleased to see this available on KZbin! I have looked for some way for many years to hear this beautiful ensemble again! They were such a blessing to me as a young man as I heard them weekly along with the marvelous C.M. Ward and his preaching. They had a very profound impact upon me as I listened to them as a very young teen ager via the radio. The Holy Spirit really blessed me every time I heard them and their anointed gospel music. I only wished I could find the album where they sing the gospel song: "Behold What Manner of Man is This". I wish it could be posted here on KZbin. Blessings on you for posting here on KZbin!

The Revivaltime broadcast was the best religious program on the radio, and the choir was always the greatest, even though the singers changed each year since they were students at Central Bible College. I was blessed to have listened to them from the 50's until they went off the air. How I wish we could go back to those wonderful songs! We have lost so much. Thank you for bringing back such blessed memories.
