I used to listen the Morning Chapel Hour every morning in the early 1980s when I was a new Christian. It was such a blessing to me.

My earliest memory of Mom - song #1 … in Mountlake Terrace listening to an old green radio … still a favorite song of mine. “It is Morning”.

I also listened to this with my mother in the late 50’s … one of my earliest memories was hearing “It is Morning” … a good song living in the cloudy Seattle area!

It was so wonderful to hear these songs again that were such a blessing to me in my youth. I almost expected Wilbur to pop in with a sermonette! I know one thing, when I get to heaven I want to go where they’re singing old hymns!

Thank you for sharing! My parents were recent immigrants to this country, but they loved the Lord, and Bro. Wilbur Nelson's was a program we often listened to. Tugs at my heart.

I've been watching and listening to Dr. Charles Stanley for many years and no idea he was African American. He surely gets people's attention. God bless you Dr Stanley...you have taught me soooo much. Please continue what you do. We pray for peace, love, salvation...in Jesus name. AMEN

Uh sorry to break this to you but Dr. Charles Frazier Stanley (radio preacher) is not African American...

That theme song helped me start my day while getting ready for school as a teenager in the early 70's. It has been with me ever since. Thank you so much for sharing! The Son is in my heart!

I remember the program having Bible teaching and not just singing.

I have been looking for the closing theme, "God Bless You". You wouldn't happen to have that ssong anywhere, would you? My mom listened to the Morning Chapel Hour, and I loved how simple and sweet the music was. T o hear these tunes now is so nostalgic and comforting.
