Does this stretch also help with knee problems? My friend said doing this helped with their knee problem.

Jesus died on that tortuous cross. He could have given up at any time but He didn't. He saw it through to the bitter end. He wanted to save us from sin and condemnation . He wanted to save us. Will you let Him save you. The things of this life are fleeting and cannot be compared with the glory that is to come for all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. 🙏 🙏

Gotta get that core tight. That's how you make sure you are engaging the psoas and not the deep lumbar connections on the other side. You are right that we should never listen to someone who tells us to haphazardly pull the leg behind in a stretch without proper queing. If the rest of the core is "floppy" the movement is probably just wrenching on the back. I tell my students to pull the leg back with their "hollow belly" and try not think of using the leg itself

Didnt understand why you asked us to practice discretion in the last exercise. Is it because it is spine related and so to be done with caution / not done at all ?
@womenshealthandfitnessak Жыл бұрын
Good question. It can feel quite intensive to be in that position with a hard roller under you. I do recommend trying it though slowly, super helpful to create a bit of mobility in pelvis and hips! Deep breaths.

Kayaking such a good time to practice. Curious how flexible the thoracolumbar (low back) tissues are. All those lower compartments work in unison to protect each other! X

What about if the issue is in your ankles ?? I have pretty bad ankle flexibility and it’s uncomfortable to sit cross legged.

I am still struggling , my left side hip hurts when I sit crossed legs and then my left knee Hurts. I can touch the floor with my right leg whilst sitting crossed leg but not the other. Please hell
@womenshealthandfitnessak Жыл бұрын
The body is always protecting to keep the pelvis is balance. Perhaps some strengthening for your right side hip and glute would be helpful. This would essentially allow the left side to relax. Let me know if you need video recommendations. X

Since I discovered I am no longer able to cross my right leg, either on the floor or a chair, I have been searching and searching for the right video to help me, and this did not come up in any of my searches, I'm glad I finally found it. You should put some more tags on your videos or rename them, so people can find them! 🤓

So you want to continue creating space in the tissues. This could be done with a combination of any of these techniques: traction - gentle pulling, massage, very gentle bouncing while stretching, breathwork, hydration with herbal teas, noticing if you clench your body throughout the day (many of us do without consciously knowing), elevate your feet at the end of the day, and last but not least - continue mobilizing the hip joints. Deep hip stretches. Good Luck!

Great video! Very informative. I blame my wallet for my hip problems, get rid of that thing now! My left will not go down to the floor. I have never stuck with a stretching/yoga regiment, always incorporated it. 50yo, more or less active throughout my life, realizing how important it's becoming. I've got a whole range of issues with my hip. Do pelvic muscles play a part in this? Almost everything you touched on, I felt, was me. Back, butt...everything. please fellas, ditch that wallet in your back pocket!

Hi, i feel pain in my butt region and in my ankles while siting crossed legs and thighs doesn't touch the floor. Even when trying to get on the bike and also while getting off the bikes gives pain side of butt region due to spreading and raising of leg. Can pls help me figure out what it can be? I am worried. I notice, when I sit cross legged, my whole back arches forward and I have a tough time straightening my back while sitting. When I do attempt to straighten my back, this brings both my knees up (mind you, I am not able to relax my knees on the ground yet). Why is this happening? What should I do? Thank you for your time.
@womenshealthandfitnessak3 жыл бұрын
Great question. The lumbar spine is simply trying to help you.The body will find a way to mold into the shape you want it to. SO for you - you need to lengthen out the back line of the body. Do this with the "Childspose" stretch with WIDE knees. Good luck!
