Great question! B2 is the changable placeholder in this function. Note that unlike $A$2:$A$9, B2 doesn't have any $ preceding the characters. That means the function first runs in B2, then it runs in B3, then in B4, etc. B2 is just the top cell in the series. I hope this helps!
