I bought the size up from this lathe (the 1100 watt motor swung it for me) and after owning a couple of "chinese lathes , this is the real thing , i can do deeper cuts with no slowing down of the motor , and the whole machine feels more professional , Great buy , i would recommend to anyone thinking of buying one !

I was just eyeing up the 1100W one on Ebay, the 9x30 one right? how much did you pay for it? The one I'm looking at is $1,259.00 which is a bargain! Grizzly has a comparable lathes going for $2500-$3000. So I believe you found a gem! Thanks for sharing.

@@ChristopherJones16 I bought the vevor 8x16 luxury version for $1,250. After contact angler bearings, QCTP, and cast iron tail stock upgrades and some other fine tuning. I'm still needing or wanting to do more tweeking. I really with I would have just purchased the 11x30 precision matthews lathe. I can do precision turning within .002 over 8 inch parts but it requires leveling and tuning the machine each and every time. I wanting to add lead to the bed to add more weight mass. I just wish I would have listen to others and went straight to the precision matthews machine.

Hi Michael, Great videos and and great projects! I built an Osprey and really wish I had turbo for high altitude lakes. In addition to high altitude lakes, long distance cruising in an amphib really benefits from the exponential decrease of drag with altitude (and our amphibs are draggy birds!). Do you have altitude intents or are you just after power? If just power, why not go with higher compression? On a separate note, while you will have plenty of elevator authority with power on, I worry that your elevator/stabilizer may be too short for sufficient elevator authority in power off and high angle of attack conditions. Also, I found VG's especially helpful for the Osprey (stall reduction, slow-flight control, and importantly around the cockpit to reduce prop cavitation and increase high angle of attach control authority). I look forward to your adventures. Cheers!

Thanks for the comments- I really need to get back to this project. I haven’t built the elevator yet so may take your advice there and extend it . I chasing both power and altitude so turbo is the natural choice my Cruzer had high compression NA and only got 160hp I’m chasing 200+ for this project.

I had no issues at all with them , quality was nice holes didn’t like up the best on the bell housing but apart from that I was happy with it- very solid. I have seen one drop bearings and chew out the gear but that could of been a bearing issue or alignment

Not sure what you think is fake this scooter is a new model from Awesome-Ev awesome-ev.com and the fact you think it’s fake is awesome because yes no other scooters can do what this beast does . It’s been designed from the ground up and built for jumps and uphill/ downhill off road. I agree hard to believe and that’s why this is so unique. This thing turns heads everywhere it goes. I’m a designer innovator and engineer . Agree my jumps could do with some work but I’m not a pro rider just a PEV enthusiast myself Thanks for your comments .
