Really disagree about the dentist. Dentists are SO much more affordable and provide excellent care abroad, even in countries that aren’t seen as “developed”-and many speak English to cater to international residents.

You might find a shop in bigger towns like Lorgrono, Burgos, Leon, but I haven't looked. I only took 3 rolls. I found that was plenty. Buen Camino ➡️

I visited Budapest and for tourism it is not cheap. Taxis and restaurants are similar prices than París for example. But for living is cheaper, supermarket lidl is so cheap, public transportation is Also cheap

I agree. Just been there in Budapest from May 13th to June 2nd stayed in two properties in the 5th and 7th Dist. Main plusses not touristy, excellent public transport hardly any waiting , I used buses, trams and metro. Lot of cafes and lot of grocery stores. Loved the thermal baths. Only downside and shocker most of the people either does not know English nor willing to talk to English. I felt locals not so welcoming of visitors, more like a land locked place. Hopefully they become more open minded in the years to come, but does not take away the city’s charm and the historic sites. I would love to visit again for a much more longer stay. Cheers 😀

Orban is a skilled fascist who knows how to make the right friends. We've got our own hands full here trying to hold on to what we have. Thanks for the video. I am currently constantly on the move, always looking for the next place to live, next language to learn, next culture to experience. I am 27 and so far have lived in Germany, the US, Chile, Spain, Norway and Taiwan and am moving to Hungary in January. But I have noticed that no matter how much I love making all these new connections with people and feeling like I'm a part of a new, exciting community, it fades away quickly as soon as I'm gone. No matter how much I try to hold onto it, in the end my friends are going to keep living their lives and the community I was a part of is going to keep existing without me. It has made me feel more distanced even when I'm with people. (Of course I keep in touch and visit, but it's simply not the same as spending lives together) So I'm reevaluating what I want now. And it's nice to watch this video of someone who obviously understands how rewarding and lonely it feels to move around a lot :) "How, not where." I will remember that and implement it for my year in Hungary :) My mom said that life is like a fractal. No matter where you are, and how broad or detailed your portion of life is, in the end all lives are rich, complex, hard and filled with all kinds of emotions. Feels parallel.

Thank you for sharing this overview of what has undoubtedly been a life filled with unique and exciting stories! I appreciate your authenticity. Where in Spain did you live? And Chile!? That was the first country that caught my eye, yet I still haven't made it there. I totally empathize with this feeling of yours. One of the things that has most surprised me about travel has been the ability to step in to so many lives in such a brief period of time. I think our human curiosity makes this sort of lifestyle incredibly addicting, leading many of us in constant search of the next perspective, yet inevitably longing for the warm familiarity of past connections. Ironically, it seems like the propensity toward nostalgia is often accompanied by a fierce curiosity and desire for novelty. So, what can we do? If you find an answer, tell me :)

You did not make it clear what currency you were talking about, eg USD or AUD (Australian dollar)? Also a fact mistake: Vienna, not Budapest, was the capital of the Austro-Hungarian empire.

I am planning on visiting Budapest in May 2024 . I really would appreciate if you could share with me about wheelchair accessibility such as public transportation, if there is a wheelchair accessible taxis, hotels. Please any tips would be helpful to make my visit easier

Bus 291 takes you to the chairlift from Nyugati railway station. The bus station is next to it. You have to go to the end station. You can buy a public transport pass at Terminal 2b of the airport for the duration of your stay. All Public Transport can be used. Except airport bus and chair lift. I always look for accommodation by using Google map and typing in Accommodation Budapest. Write the prices immediately. I don't recommend the chairlift area because it's far away, I'd rather recommend the city center. You have a question, I can answer it.

Hey there Susan, thanks for reaching out! I made this video back in March of 2022, so I can't reliably speak to the current rental market in Budapest. I rented that Airbnb for 4 months.
