Thank you for this video. It’s helpful to see the actual photo in view as you are sketching and painting it. More people need to show this in their video tutorials like you do here.

I bought the book and am so happy with it. It is beautifully illustrated and with a lot of practical advices. But most important, it encourages you to start sketching. I have now everything I need to start this cheerful way of sketching Greets from the Hague

I have the book and it is terrific. The only book you will ever need regarding urban sketching. Also took the course on Domestika. Highly recommend it! Working on my first project!

I'm guessing the ink step took 20 minutes or less?

I can be too tight with my watercolor painting and maybe the work looks quite good in a large scale piece, but as an art teacher, I made some fantastic live demo pieces that HAD to be loose and relatively fast. They came out GREAT, so I vow to continue in that process! Thanks for the inspiration.

I LOVE the way you render light through color in your sketches. This book is definitely at the top of my list.

This is great encouragement to get to it and do some sketching. Do you play the music while you're sketching? If so, is this the sort of music you listen to, or is this just for the videos?

Excellent Alex. I love you use of white space and the shadow play. I really must learn to think like you do about light direction and its strength and the shadows created. I need to get some better markers in more subtle colours - my very cheap ones are too vivid. I can't wait for your book to arrive (today hopefully) so I can learn more about your technique. Thanks Albert - i have just recently come across your amazing work thank to a free video on Domestika and i have to say I'm hooked on your technique/style! I have a set of very cheap marker pens which i have never used as most of the colours are unnaturally bright but I've picked out some of the more subtle shades and have tried to copy your style. I've ordered your book and can't eait for it to arrive so I can learn more about how you do it. Thanks again Martin
