Thank you, Albert! I'm so impressed with how prolific you've been with your practice, and especially how you are so willing to share ALL of it, the good and the ones you're not so thrilled with! I SO appreciate all your tips, encouragement, and guidance. You've always got such inspiring words about just DOING IT, and the fact that every time we do it is a learning experience-Having perfectionistic tendencies, I've had to repeat those words to myself often. I really enjoyed your Domestika course and have received even more requests to draw peoples homes in this style now!

I appreciate you makijng this video. I started sketching after looking at your IG and your course and I obsess over not having the right colours at all times. And you just showed me that it doesn't matter in the slightest

I'm glad you took the time to do this, especially for those who enjoy your work and are struggling to get started as an artist. Us artists can have a lot of hang-ups with our own art and even seeing our own progress. I like to recommend that people look at their old past sketchbooks from time to time to get a reminder as to how far they've come. I do this with my Figure/Life drawing class I go to every other week. I've got years of sketchbooks from it at this point and it's fun to sometimes look at those older past ones and see how much better my anatomy has become. Great video man, I've been following your work on Instagram for a few years now and I've always enjoy it quite a bit. You have a great sense of design and style in your imagery. I need to get out and do a bit more urban sketching again, it's such a fun practice. I go by @levisimpson55 on IG. I mostly draw my own creatures, characters and my Fiancée. Haha. Cheers! :D

Thanks for this video, it's really motivational! I've tried redrawing other artists' works so far, but after watching this I want to try to sketch from a photo.

Don’t ever be discouraged!! Start in your first sketchbook. The nice thing about sketchbooks is you can take a look back htough time. It is a wonderful time machine!🍀

i really felt in love with your vibrant and lively style, Albert! as an architect i am used to sketch as well but as more n more is shifted to pc work i started sketching every day a 2min sketch with random items at my home. than i more n more often used extra time at work to sketch with whatever pen or pencil i got and i became so much better just from these short day sketches. its kinda strange to me that in university i wasnt really good nor interested in sketching but it turned out that at the time i just wasnt interested and for an architecture student my skills were average at max. the last 1,5 years i sketched probably more than in my whole life before and well turns out i am pretty good at it :) So i can just agree with you encouraging everyone to start with whatever pen and whatever object to sketch on whatever! :) it doesnt even have to feel like exercise at all once you take the tip from this video: just get used to the idea that there ll always be the next page waiting for another sketch cheers, Bill PS: i did your domestica-course and ever since i am hooked with this "looseness" of sketches

Thanks for sharing this positive story Bill!!! That is exactly what I would like people to see. And you confirmed it with your story. Regular sketching will inevitably lead to improvement. And think you for joining me in the course on the Domestika platform!! 🙏🏻🍀

Excellent I recently found a box of twin tipped water based markers 24 colours in the UK in an art shop for£15. So I'm going to use your idea of viewing from our front window. And your Instagram as my examples, which me luck here I go 😊👍

Do you mostly draw from photos or from life? I find it so much easier to draw from photos, but I feel like I am faking it when I do. I just wanted to know your perspective. And thanks so much for being an inspiration.
