Nope, nope nope. Sorry. I'm not one to gatekeep pizza toppings but this is just too weird for me. Almost as bad as a banana and mayonnaise sandwich

at what temp are you cooking stone and roof . I keep burning bottom
@pieslanger5 күн бұрын
What type of dough are you using? Try using something with a lower moister content to help it cook all the way through without first burning the bottom. Normally I start putting pizzas in when the bottom is 750-850 degrees and top has a flame going across it. What tends to happen when the flame goes out or isn’t pumping thru the chimney then the top doesn’t get nearly the amount of heat as the bottom because the top doesn’t retain heat like the stone on the bottom does. It needs the flame present to cook. Finally, make sure you don’t put too much sauce or toppings on. Hope this helps - Jason

What is the liner made of, is it Teflon is a cast iron can't tell?
@pieslanger6 күн бұрын
Unfortunately Teflon. It doesn't get too hot. You just have to be carful and not scratch the non-stick surface unless you want a lovely PFAS fortified crust. - Jason

Fire Starting Gel works best for me. Pour some pellets on the tray. Squirt some gel on the pellets and light it. I put it directly in the oven. 5 minutes later its ready to add more pellets to the hopper.

Haha. Thats so funny. I was thinking of that the other day. They never sent one. But it did last its whole life with the one screw! Thanks for watching - Jason

@@0rtmasta Pellets in the hinge were major issue with that design. Most of them are just like that. The thing held up. Just has its challenges lol.

Do pizza rolls. Thaw them in the microwave for a bit then throw them in the smoker. Like 250 for half hour to 45min. Til the cheese pops on a couple of them

Can u use coals?
@pieslangerАй бұрын
Coals work but won't get as hot as pellets without a fan. A few at the bottom to help keep the flames going is worth trying but can limit the venting at the bottom. Coals could be a great fuel choice if you want to cook something at 350-400 degrees. Maybe for baking something on a camping trip or cooking premade pizzas from the store. Hope this helps - Jason

If you use an electric charcoal starter (the electric heated elemnts),maybe that would be an easier way to get the pellets lits and self sustained.

I had never heard of one of those till you mentioned it! pretty cool. It would be a great built-in feature on an oven to have a start cycle. Thanks for watching - Jason

Preheating your stove for an hour heats the stone, which helps the bottom to cook faster. You want 900 degrees.
