I've thought about using on of these organizer apps, but it seems so daunting to take all the photos. People even do all their jewelry and accessories too? It's just so many items. Do they let you tag things or put them in categories for thrifted, handmade, etc? So that you can filter your closet and see just the thrifted items?

maybe it's about age but it's wild to me to imagine only having one item over 5 years old. i guess people's preferences and sizes change a lot more than mine! i've had to get rid of a lot over the years (size, wear, decluttering) but i have a fair amount from high school and college, 10-20 years ago

What helped me is splitting up the clothing by season then doing one category at a time then when taking the photos I take a picture of the garment then the brand/size tag then the material tag. Then I added all the info and pictures with KZbin in the background

I used Indyx and I used to used OpenWaredrobe but it was bugging but it was free .... as for Indyx you need to pay for the stats which is a minus for me. But are similar and pretty easy to used. What I love about the app in general is the usage stats soooo What I love the most its the collections /Capsule when I need to travel ... it make easier to plan your outfit and have a overview of what you bring and how many outfit you can wear during your stay.

In 2025, I’m going to try to stop partaking in trends (or de influencing) simply because it isn’t fun for me personally. Ultimately think I always end up in the same stuff regardless of trend anyway because maybe we all naturally gravitate towards the style I wanted when I was a kid. If we’re discussing things we really like and want right now. I am really liking the idea of silver ballet flats or silver shoes with sparkly tights. I think I’ve always liked dancer style, or fantasy/play. This is not a criticism btw. Just thoughts hopefully adding to this conversation. 😊 I think your role in this whole fashion ecosystem is driving people a little bit outside of their comfort zones and experimenting in terms of fashion, so thank you.

I think your 90’s goth chic is just winter boho. I’ve lost a lot of weight the past 18 months and have changed my aesthetic somewhat. Boho would be the overall category I guess. Velvets/suedes/beaded pieces/heavy embroidery/fringe for winter (both months, ha!) and more flowy, crochet/broderie anglaise/lace/mesh pieces for summer.
