Fr I hate non-adjustable straps so much, especially when they're so tight and dig into my shoulders. I would have no chance of just snipping them off and sewing them back on like I could with longer straps 😞

I'm plus size, have ADHD and there are times when I get super excited about an outfit I imagined, browse Vinted and then buy all the cheapest pieces to recreate my vision. So here's my list of clothes I always regret buying: - poor quality/damaged pieces because I didn't inspect the photo thoroughly/didn't ask the seller additional questions (i.e. if the fabric is stretchy, extra measurements, any damage) - snug fitting clothes - I've started following a 50+ fashion influencer recently and I really took her advice to size up instead of trying to fit into a smaller size (although it might feel good to think that I'm smaller than in reality, ultimately bigger size will be more comfortable and I will feel more confident in the long run) - crop tops and short skirts, I have my preferred lengths and I should stick to them - uncomfortable shoes just because they're trendy

I'm short with a small chest, so I have the exact opposite problem with non-adjustable straps 😅 Necklines often end up inappropriately low on me, like flashing danger territory low. I constantly have to safety pin or sew straps to be the appropriate length. Which I guess is still better than not having the option to lenghten them if they're too short, but it's still annoying.

I have been quite vigilant about checking the fabric content of a garment. I know I’m outside the norm of your viewers, but menopause is real and natural fibers keep me from feeling like I’m on fire! Shoes are also another thing I stopped thrifting for the same reason. I’ve taken more shoes to be re-soled!

In my opinion, we need to be aware of what type of figure we are. There is no point in buying clothes that do not fit our figure. And clothes made of cheap materials are not taken into account by me at all, even used ones.

hmm, totally valid on your experience but i can't agree with ruling out secondhand shoes, you just have to look closely and be thoughtful! new shoes are WAY overpriced and if you are careful about the condition and have appropriate expectations, you can thrift $10 shoes that last years, maybe not as long as $50 or $200 shoes, but then you can keep thrifting them for a fraction of the price... i thrift hiking boots all the time and wear them out over the years, but when i used to buy new i'd wear those out in not much longer. i get 'em on half-price days and enjoy them 'til they're too beat up to repair. (shoe goo keeps them alive a long time) 100% agree on 3/4 length sleeves, they always bug me. anything where i don't like the fit is a big one for me, i just want to ignore it but it doesn't work that way.
