Thank you for posting this. It's so difficult to find information on installing the blade on the XT3's. Lots of other videos that simply aren't relevant to this model.

Gator blades are good for mulching leaves. If you want your lawn to look good use medium to high lift blades, high lift if the tractor can handle them. Cut to the height you prefer, wait a few hours and cut over it again with your deck up higher. That’ll dissipate the clippings into the lawn better and appear as if you bagged the lawn. That’s the trick to making it look good, the deck up higher on the second pass. I owned a lawn maintenance company for 20 years.

That has to be the worst lawn mower deck design in the world.. every time you see one all the grass is on top of the deck because the vacuum is so terrible it literally blows the grass on top of the deck.. they should post the designer of that mower deck and tell the history of his drug problem..😮

Looks good! Make sure to grease BOTH zerks on the tractor's main driveshaft. Leading cause of death for 2320s otherwise. The rear one is easy to get at with the mower deck off, but the front one is not at all easy. I ended up cutting a hole in the lower right side of the center console to access a plate there and get at the u-joint with a long needle adapter. Every 50 hours (I aim for 25). Now takes me 10 minutes! Mine is a 2007 model year, so yours might be a different driveshaft.😮

My front hydro cylinder went out on my 2320 Apparently it’s been discontinued and looking for an aftermarket cylinder would appreciate any help you could give me in finding one

Don’t choose cheetah over turf tiger, the belt will slip more and it will cut slower

Added an ogura 311230 soft start to mine, will have to see in the long-term if that is worse or better for clutch life as it allows a bit of slip before doing full power engagement

Shop around some. I bought mine last year. Turf tiger 2 with 37 hp efi motor. $13,500.

Both models only cut at 12mph. The cheetah has a high gear that runs 18 I think but won’t cut in that gear.

I'm shocked a Scag would need a new clutch at those low hours. I have a 48" Cub Cadet ZForce that had almost 600 hours , and had it since 2009. It's only home use only, and semi commercial mower. Scags are known for their reliability, you should have called the company to say something to them.

Do yourself a favor and bungee up the grass flap 45 degrees or more and the grass will spread out a lot further helping not bog engine down. Personally I mow in a circle to not over use transmission and not re run over existing thatch.

That's a great mower. But I believe this mower and the Cheetah 2 are basically the same mower. Both have the Velocity Plus deck. Both have the same engine speed and blade speed. Even though the Cheetah 2 WILL go 16 MPH, you can't really mow at that speed. That is for moving the mower from one location to the other. This mower is a couple hundred pounds heaver and has a drive shaft as opposed to the drive belt of the Cheetah 2. Shouldn't really affect the cut quality though. I believe this mower costs a couple thousand bucks more as it's built a bit beefier. I also like the tiger stripes on the fenders better than the Cheetah.

you're cutting too low. raise it to 4-4.5" --you'll see a big difference.

Man I ain't never had a JD cut as good as a Simplicity or an old Ingersoll. JD makes fine tractors...but their mowing decks have never impressed me for exactly the reasons you mention in this video.

Outstanding Ted. I just bought my first JD sub. It came with the front bucket and snow blower attachment. After a couple of months I finally found a mod 26 backhoe and power beyond. I have no clue. lol I subscribed and will check your videos to see if you have a tut on install and removal. Thanks again for your help
