Check out their track Everest as well, it is just as monumental and reverential as Spitfire.

Seen them live 5 times now, didn't like the last album. This album though is killer although a lot of singing. Saw them in Cambridge Corn exchange again. Brilliant it was. Taking clips from their other popular songs is genius.

Well done :) You might have missed this: Larry Beckett, lyricist to Tim Buckley and author of Song tot he Siren, published his poem on Amelia Earhart in 2018. I work with Larry and put music to some of the poem. Poetry has been written about this plane and music :) We released this 4 track EP in 2020 kzbin.info/www/bejne/jYSsZmCPjZmBhsU

I knew they'd be good live but saw them last night in Glasgow and that was one of my favourite gigs in a long time. Will now be a band I'll always look out for playing close to us or where we're going to be. Hadn't heard this song til last night.

Just joined onto the bandwagon and have been streaming this band nonstop since. Combing my love of music with my love of archival/historical materials. OBSESSED is the only word I can use to describe this beauty 🤩

This is the night mail, crossing the border. Bringing the cheque and the postal order 💜💜 I imagine you two gentlemen walking through the train yard to a building, where you put on your space suits, as you continue your journey. Such beautiful music

It's gone so fast! From a two man band, bringing in other members as required. Brixton, the coal fields of south Wales, the continent and into a planned global flight. My favourite song from the first full album, but so close. So many wonderful songs, full of joy and soul. Thank you

This band reminds me of what we did as young graphic designers in the mid 90s: cutting out funny pictures from 1950s magazine advertisings and using them for flyers and such. They are using the same idea some 35 years later - just in audio, which is kind of lame. The music itself is rather boring, stuff you would expect to hear in an elevator. Well, good for them if they make some money with this niche concept but definitely nothing that will be inspiring in a few decades.

At that concert I believe it would've been EERA, who's also from Berlin, she's great - I believe she did the vocals on a few songs from Bright Magic and also a few other songs in this album.

Eera performed with them in Coventry last week and definitely did this great song justice.

Is that the same airplane as on the cover of Mike Oldfield's Five Miles Out ?🙂
@keithsherwood161620 күн бұрын
Yes, its a Lockheed L10 Electra, although the one on the cover of Five Miles Out has a ficticious registration (G-MOVJ) to tie in with the lyrics of the song.

Watching this shortly after the last coal fired power station closed here in the UK. We have moved on to better things, but respect is due to the role played by coal in our society for over a century.

What's funny is that the speech2text AI doesn't understand the lines: "Girls don’t, girls can’t Binaries I don’t understand" Well, I regard the promotion of understanding as some sort of life mission. Gotta inform Andreya that boys don't understand binaries either. Even the hyper-aware autism aliens. Those are just not meant to be human-readable, they are just intended for computers, by design. 😂 If you're fully determined to communicate with computers via its native language, you can learn assembly code, the same way as one would use the Chinese lettering. But C code is certainly more versatile I do love numbers though, so I enjoy displaying the random binary file through a hex editor occasionally. Must point out, that I don't functionally understand the code, nor do I intend manipulating it. I just do it for the fun of it 😎😆
