Why can’t the charging station be away from the lawn? I have a covered area on the drive that would be out of sight. This would have been my preference.

Might seem expensive but we bought a new ride on tractor and it was much the same price of the most expensive one in the line up. However the tractor has been nothing but endless problems and constant trips to the servicing centre for repairs. Going forward we will only consider a robot lawn mower and will never touch any ride on machine again, as they are just not worth the money or hassle.

Based on this review I bought the 38cm earlier in 2024 and have not regretted the purchase. The mower is well put together and performs exactly as Mark’s review states. My lawn is about 90sq metres and this mower handles it easily and folds away neatly afterwards. Highly recommended and very good value for money. Thanks for your excellent reviews Mark.

Thanks for the useful review. Having watched your review, I've just bought one of these shredders, direct from Hyundai's e Bay shop. Their website and Amazon were showing no stock. They sell various grades of returned machines. Mine was A grade, unused. I was replacing a 20-year old Bosch machine, similar way of working. First impressions are very favourable, and a good value machine. Greetings from north Wales, UK.

When would you use the raker vs the vertical cuts? In this video you use the blades low then high and that's good enough?
@EasyLawnMowingАй бұрын
Hi Raking and vertical cutting (also known as scarifying or dethatching) serve different purposes in lawn care, and the choice between them depends on your lawn's specific needs. Raking: Purpose: Raking is primarily used to remove leaves, debris, and thatch (a layer of organic matter) from the surface of the lawn. When to Use: Use a rake in the autumn to clear leaves or in the spring to remove winter debris. It's also helpful for light thatch removal. Benefits: Helps improve air circulation, water penetration, and nutrient absorption by clearing the surface. Vertical Cutting (Scarifying/Dethatching): Purpose: Vertical cutting involves using a scarifier or dethatcher to cut into the soil and remove deeper layers of thatch and moss. When to Use: Typically done in the spring or early autumn when the grass is actively growing. Avoid during extreme heat or cold. Benefits: Promotes healthier grass growth by reducing thatch, improving soil aeration, and encouraging new growth. Using the blades low and then high is a method to ensure a thorough job. Starting with the blades low helps to cut into the soil and remove deeper thatch, while a higher setting can be used to finish the process and clean up the surface. This two-step approach can be effective for comprehensive lawn care. Choosing between raking and vertical cutting depends on the condition of your lawn. If you have a thick layer of thatch or moss, vertical cutting is more effective. For general maintenance and debris removal, raking is sufficient.

I wanted to buy this - but after seeing the mess its made of your garden and the fact that it goes nowhere near the edge - I 100% won't be buying now. Thanks for warning me off this. Back to the drawing board finding a decent robotic mower.
@EasyLawnMowingАй бұрын
Hi, Thanks for your comment. I understand your concerns about robotic mowers not being able to cut completely to the edge, especially if the lawn isn't level with the path or driveway. This is a common challenge with many models. However, some newer GPS (RTK) models are designed with edge-cutting capabilities or additional features to address this issue. It might be worth exploring these options or considering a combination of a robotic mower for the main lawn and a manual trimmer for the edges. Your feedback is valuable and helps in making an informed decision. Good luck with your search for the perfect solution!
@dawn-moonАй бұрын
Great review, one thing missing IMHO, is how happy are you with the "edge" cutting, it does still leave a big gap for my liking, based on what I see in your footage. Thx for your work !

Can it navigate around hoses and sprinklers?
@EasyLawnMowingАй бұрын
Yes it can avoid obstacles on the lawn, as long as IT can "see them". In terms of navigation, this mower uses a random mowing pattern unlike a GPS (RTK) guided robotic mower.

I noticed that the two front wheels lie outside the width of the rear roller. One of the problems with my four wheel rotary is the deep tracks left by the four wheels. (My grass is currently mowed at the second highest height setting, so this might be a factor as well). How noticeable are the marks left by the front two wheels in this model?
@EasyLawnMowingАй бұрын
Hi I recently laid turf and used the heavy Cobra RM43SP80V to do the first cut. I was also concerned about the wheels digging into the newly laid, rather wet turf, but it was absolutely fine as the roller took most of the weight. I did need to take care turning on the spot though. There seems to be little weight on the front wheels so you don't see the wheel tracks on the lawn, just the stripes. I was cutting at 40mm so would need to test at a higher setting to see if this makes a difference. I think the last cut was already done this weekend (unless this mild weather continues), so will give it a go at higher height setting in the spring. Thanks Mark

Hi thanks for your positive feedback, much appreciated, no the Landroid vision will work in a random pattern. For stripes you would need a robotic mower that has satellite guidance (RTK), such as the Luba or Yuka. Link below easylawnmowing.co.uk/luba-2-awd-review/ easylawnmowing.co.uk/mammotion-yuka-review/

Great video think I will order one. Only question is . Does the mower know when it’s cut all of the grass. Or will it miss a lot of bits ?
@EasyLawnMowing2 ай бұрын
Many thanks for your comment. The LAWNMASTER VBRM16 uses a camera for navigation and mows in a random pattern. While this approach allows for flexibility and can cover the lawn efficiently, there may still be instances where it misses small areas, especially if the grass is taller or if there are obstacles in the way. To improve coverage, you might consider running the mower more frequently. Thanks Mark

My one doesn’t have the eco/turbo switch on mine, is anyone else the same?
@EasyLawnMowing2 ай бұрын
I belive the Worx WG779E.2 has replaced the eco/turbo switch with the intelligent power feature. This technology automatically adjusts the mower's power based on the lawn conditions, providing an efficient mowing experience without the need for manual switching. If your mower has this feature, it should still effectively manage power usage while adapting to different grass thicknesses and terrains. If you have any further questions about how it works or its performance, feel free to ask!

Forget all about the 'Quality' associated with the Bosch name, this machine is total trash, made as cheaply as possible, for unskilled labour to assemble. I bought mine at the end of last season, I have used it 5 times in total, now it is a scrapper. The side of the motor (plastic), is so distorted that the motor cooling fan (plastic), have welded themselves together, the motor itself is unserviceable, needs replacing, no point as it is simply a design fault. You would have thought that a company such as Bosch would have tested the design before mass producing them, but they have gone the way a lot of cheaper brands have gone, putting profit before quality.
@EasyLawnMowing2 ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm sorry to hear that you've had such a negative encounter with your Bosch product. It’s frustrating when a product doesn’t meet expectations, especially from a brand known for quality. Your feedback about the motor and assembly issues is valuable, as it highlights potential design flaws that the company should address. Many consumers rely on brands like Bosch for durability and performance, so it’s disappointing when that trust is broken. I encourage you to reach out to Bosch's customer service to see if they can assist you or provide a solution. Your insights could also help others make informed decisions. If you have any further thoughts or questions, feel free to share! Mark

Thank you for this in-depth unboxing, assembly, and demonstration. I needed to buy a lawn mower, but they are all so expensive. I was not sure about this brand since I never heard of it before, but your video gave me the confidence to order one. I ordered the next size up which has a 16" deck and is 12 amps. It was delivered a couple of days ago, but I have not had the time yet to unbox, assemble, and use it. I hope it will work well for me. My yard is not super large, but it is not an easy area to mow. I know I have stones around it--small to medium ones. I do plan to pick up as many as I can see and lift out of the grass, but I am worried about the blade on this mower hitting them and getting nicked up. I have heard it is not easy to replace the blade on these mowers. I would love to see you do another video discussing, demonstrating how to do that. 👍

We have a huge grass area of about an acre and have a Viking sit on mower however areas of the grass especially this year have been very wet and the heavy sit on would almost sink. My Bosch Rotak mover lasted 10 years cutting not all of the grass but all the little slopes etc - problem areas. The blade finally dropped off, yes just dropped off. Fortunately we had bought a spare Bosch Rotak a couple of years ago. I hope that will be as good as it's predecessor. Like your informative videos.

Pardon my ignorance.. I thought it was the blades that scarify?
@EasyLawnMowing2 ай бұрын
The tines on an electric scarifier are primarily designed for raking and performing a more shallow scarification. They help to remove thatch and debris from the surface of the lawn without cutting too deeply into the soil. In contrast, the blades penetrate deeper to provide a more aggressive scarifying action, which is beneficial for promoting healthy grass growth. If you have any more questions or need further information, just let me know!
