Great video think I will order one. Only question is . Does the mower know when it’s cut all of the grass. Or will it miss a lot of bits ?

Have you tried the Hayter hawk? The battery and charger are sold separately however, the total cost will be around £600ish

Forget all about the 'Quality' associated with the Bosch name, this machine is total trash, made as cheaply as possible, for unskilled labour to assemble. I bought mine at the end of last season, I have used it 5 times in total, now it is a scrapper. The side of the motor (plastic), is so distorted that the motor cooling fan (plastic), have welded themselves together, the motor itself is unserviceable, needs replacing, no point as it is simply a design fault. You would have thought that a company such as Bosch would have tested the design before mass producing them, but they have gone the way a lot of cheaper brands have gone, putting profit before quality.

Thank you for this in-depth unboxing, assembly, and demonstration. I needed to buy a lawn mower, but they are all so expensive. I was not sure about this brand since I never heard of it before, but your video gave me the confidence to order one. I ordered the next size up which has a 16" deck and is 12 amps. It was delivered a couple of days ago, but I have not had the time yet to unbox, assemble, and use it. I hope it will work well for me. My yard is not super large, but it is not an easy area to mow. I know I have stones around it--small to medium ones. I do plan to pick up as many as I can see and lift out of the grass, but I am worried about the blade on this mower hitting them and getting nicked up. I have heard it is not easy to replace the blade on these mowers. I would love to see you do another video discussing, demonstrating how to do that. 👍

Hi, Thanks so much for your positive feedback, much appreciated. Please do let us know how you get on with the mower when you get a chance to use. I have do a video on changing the blade on a mower, it's not the exact same mower but the principle is the same. Video here - kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6DKg3V3pNqojZosi=kDAkxkulUPPZGt1p

We have a huge grass area of about an acre and have a Viking sit on mower however areas of the grass especially this year have been very wet and the heavy sit on would almost sink. My Bosch Rotak mover lasted 10 years cutting not all of the grass but all the little slopes etc - problem areas. The blade finally dropped off, yes just dropped off. Fortunately we had bought a spare Bosch Rotak a couple of years ago. I hope that will be as good as it's predecessor. Like your informative videos.

Thanks for the review, but it came across as not that well designed. The legs are a bit stupid to have to strip them completely down to reduce storage space. Why did they not fit a sprung loaded tube in the axle? You could then just spring the axle apart, then hinge the legs up out of the way. Or, better still, fit one wheel to each leg that could lock into place for transport. The blade adjustment seems utterly pointless surely, How difficult is it, to set the blade height correctly at the factory, so 0/10 for that. You did not mention much about the most important part, the cutter mechanism. Is there just one blade on the disc or two? Just one will contribute vibration which is not good, two I consider essential as well as reducing vibration, will also decrease the the height of the chips - much, much better for mulching. You did not mention the height of the chips - (they looked about 3/4 inch thick), nor did you try a piece of 44mm dia wood as you said you would. The top access hole does not seem to be very big, would a 44mm branch actually fit in? The cutter access seems to me to be completely useless. If there is a jam, I just want to quickly unhinge the complete top half to obtain total access (with a safety microswitch of course). Certainly not go hunting around for an allen key, then drop a fiddly screw into long grass. Then, stick my hand in (with gloves on of course), and try and keep them away from the sharp edges whilst trying to feel what is jamming the disc. Does the panel have any safety feature? Finally, what does the cutter cut against? I have had two Al-Ko shredders, but they used the edge of the feed tube (at an angle) to cut against. Both of them had the edge just worn completely down, so you had a knife edge trying to cut wood against a rounded corner. Result? long strips of damaged material and constant jams.

Mark, could this work for gardens where there is a 6 inch step. I need something which can navigate between the two. Luba support say it won't work. Would it also move over gravel or is it likely to get stuck.

Oh wow, this is brilliant! Been using google maps for years and like a couple of others have said, I had no idea google maps could do this. If I could give more than one "thumbs up" I would. :) Thank you!

Be wary of just using amp/hours as an indication of battery energy capacity ... the amp/hour rating is only half the story, the other half being voltage. Basically a 2Ah battery at 18V has half the energy (Watt/hours) of a battery that is 2Ah at 36V ... multiply the Amps by the Volts to get the Watts (or in this case Watt/hours). I don't know why tool and garden equipment batteries don't explicitly state the capacity in Watt/hours then you could compare different voltage tools more readily... after all you can get a little AA battery that has 2Ah capacity and it clearly doesn't have the energy capacity of a 2Ah tool battery pack.
